CAN CANNABIS CURE SCHIZOPHRENIA?
It is my personal reasoning that the true cause of the social decline that we are seeing increase in our age today is to be found in the 207 year old history of modern psychiatry. The goal always seems to be the suppression of the individual, and not to actually cure mental illness. Mental disorders have been around as long as mankind has but before the 1800’s there was very little hope for mental patients and mostly it was believed that they were victims of demonic possession and were treated brutally often fatally. Women with mental disorders were considered witches and burnt at the stake.
Modern psychiatry has now moved beyond the mental institutions and into society. It has evolved into a hungry profit driven industry which results in shocking statistics of deaths resulting from the side effects of their treatments.
So it is not hard to see from the many stories shared online; you can watch the movie “Side Effects” written and produced by ex pharmaceutical representatives, how modern psychiatry has basically repackaged human emotions and behaviors as ‘disease’ or ‘disorder’ with the sole intention to sell their drugs at massive profits. If you look closely you will clearly see that this is a smartly executed marketing campaign rather than a science.
Personally ii believe that all mental conditions are related, such as autism, ADD, ADDH, schizophrenia, bipolar, Alzheimer’s and dementia are one and the same resulting from common human emotions, behavioural traits and Cannabinoid deficiency.
WHO ‘INVENTED’ SCHIZOPHRENIA
The
term ‘schizophrenia’ originated in Switzerland and it literally means ‘splitting
of the mind’ which was always intended to refer to a difference between thought
and action and not to multiple or ‘split’ personalities. Multiple
Personality Disorders is another study. Switzerland is also where the great
teacher Carl Jung did a lot of his work on the development of psychoanalysis
and worked extensively with people suffering from schizophrenia. His essays on
his theories were published in 1986 in CA
Meier’s book, Soul and Body. Meier was a student and assistant of Carl Jung
at the Burgholzli Clinic.
Teachers
like Carl Jung and Bleuler, also of Burgholzli Clinic Switzerland urge us to understand
schizophrenic development as primarily a human rather than metabolic process.
Dr Bleuler says:
“When
the tension between his own drives and between his drives and his social
environment become overwhelming he retires into an autistic…contradictory world
that is better adapted to his contradictory self than reality…this
conception…summarizes well our present knowledge of schizophrenia”
This
is exactly why personalized treatment programs work more effectively because
‘schizophrenia’ is not a mental disease. It is a lifestyle disorder brought
about by intentional stress, negativity and the consumption of harmful and
neuro-toxic chemical substances found everywhere on earth, in our environment,
our food, water, soil, medications, everywhere, no one can escape these
substances not even on the North Pole.
A 2011 study
undertaken by Dr Y Horesh and colleagues provided evidence that certain
molecular substrates were shared in the brains of people suffering from both
Alzheimer’s (AD) and schizophrenia.
“The findings
point to a specific molecular background shared by AD and schizophrenia,
suggesting that impairment of the autophagy pathway regulation system could be
one of the common bases of the two diseases; however, further studies are
necessary, taking into account exposure to medications, sex hormone influences
and with a significant expanded sample size in order to strengthen the evidence
in support of the notion that at least part of the molecular background of AD
and schizophrenia is shared by these two diseases.”
This study proves that there is a legitimate link between these two
conditions and for me personally there is enough evidence to prove that through
‘medical repackaging’ we can create or ‘invent’ a multitude of disorders as
well as expensive dangerous designer drugs for these.
In my dialogues with loved ones of patients as well as my
personal experiences ii have come across a lot of people who say that dealing
with their mother with Alzheimer’s and younger acquaintances with schizophrenia
was really no different in most cases discussed. This finding again convinces me that all
these dementia conditions are related.
This line of reasoning allows me to include conditions
like Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis (MS) into my reasoning as these
two conditions are also set about by damaged brain cells. The medications
prescribed to people suffering from Parkinson’s and MS also have debilitating
side effects of which you can read hundreds of testimonies to online. Another
reason ii include these two conditions is because we are also having wonderful
success in treating both with Cannabis.
So all these conditions seem to respond negatively to their prescription
medicines and they all respond positively to Cannabis treatment.
Dr Joseph Mercola makes some powerful statements on his site such as “Inventors
of Paediatric Bipolar Diagnosis had strong drug industry ties.” In my
reasoning this suggests that other mental disorders were also ‘invented’.
There is a story about three psychiatrists from Harvard who were
disciplined after it was discovered that they all received millions of dollars
in undeclared drug company monies.
“In a July 21,
2011 article, Vera Sherav for Alliance for Human Research Protection writes:
"An investigation, prompted by Sen. Charles Grassely, was
conducted by Harvard University-affiliated Massachusetts General Hospital. It
concluded that psychiatrist Joseph Biederman and two of his protégés, Thomas
Spencer and Timothy Wilens - each of who failed to disclose millions of dollars
they had each received from the makers of antipsychotics, the drugs they
promoted for the treatment of bipolar in children – had indeed violated the
University's/ and hospital's conflict of interest reporting standards. The
three wrote a mea culpa letter stating "we want to offer our sincere
apologies… 'Acknowledging' our mistakes…"
However, no
mention was made anywhere about the profound consequences of these
psychiatrists' commercially-driven clinical recommendations. No mention
about the corruption of the scientific literature, about clinical
practice that deviated from the Hippocratic Oath, 'First, do no harm,' nor was
any mention made about the harm suffered by children whose doctors were
misled about the safety and efficacy of highly toxic drugs. Child psychiatrists and paediatricians
throughout the US were guided by these exceedingly influential Harvard
psychiatrists."
The
investigation also unearthed evidence of commercially-driven corruption of
the research produced by these psychiatrists. A New York Times article revealed that court
documents showed Dr. Biederman promised Johnson & Johnson that the results
of a planned study in preschool children would "support the safety and
effectiveness of Risperdal in this age group."
We absolutely have to educate ourselves and
become aware of what is really going on in the world today.
THE FIRST
DEMENTIA DIAGNOSIS
The first official diagnosis of (pre-senile) dementia was
in 1901 by Dr Alois Alzheimer (1864 – 1915) and according to
scienceblogs.com this lady was only 51 years old and in today’s world she would
have been diagnosed with ‘early onset Alzheimer’s. The lady died at age 55 in
1906. Early onset Alzheimer’s is defined
as development of the condition before age 65. So you can see how dementia and
Alzheimer’s disease are linked and it seems obvious that it is ‘age based’.
This is why ii believe that schizophrenia is not a new
and separate mental disorder. It is an update of dementia and its ‘age
base’ is from the onset of the teenage years. So it is my reasoning that all
these conditions like schizophrenia, Alzheimer’s, various forms of dementia,
bipolar, autism, ADHD, ADD and so on are all one and the same thing and this is
what ii mean when ii speak about human emotions and behaviour being repackaged
as ‘mental conditions’.
And the number one reason why we are seeing an increase
in conditions of dementia at younger ages is directly linked to the toxic
poisons in our food, water and vaccinations. Think about it, the pregnant
mother is consuming the toxins so in utero there is already a degenerative
process starting to happen to the unborn child. Then the child is hopefully
breast fed but shortly after taking its first few breaths it starts getting
pumped with vaccinations and once the child starts eating around 4 to 6 months
of age, immediately the toxins present in the child’s food are starting to
work. This is also why we are seeing so many young children starting to develop
epilepsy at around 6 months old.
It is interesting when you look at the history of
Monosodium Glutamate (MSG). It was invented in 1908 so this is around the same
time as people like Dr Alzheimer were starting to diagnose conditions of
dementia. Dr Russell Blaylock (Nutrition and Behaviour) has researched
thousands of food and nutritional studies and research has proven that during
pregnancy and lactation a diet rich in MSG causes damage to brain cells because
infants and small children are four times more sensitive to MSG than
adults are. This is a scientific fact.
THE RISK
OF SCHIZOPHRENIA
There is currently a global awakening of consciousness that
all is not well in our world, especially our medical health world, and that we
need to look closer at what is going on. Misinformation, manipulation, mind
control and main stream media are some of the negative things we are all
dealing with. The sad thing is the
realization that these experiences have always been intentional and it is
blatant trickery on the part of the system which we look to for protection but
which continues to fail us all dismally, all in the sole interest of generating
increased profit margins.
The plain truth is that scientists and psychiatrists still
do not fully understand the causes of schizophrenia and other mental disorders
like Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.
“In forty years, ‘biological’ psychiatry has
yet to validate a single psychiatric condition/diagnosis as an abnormality/disease,
or as anything ‘neurological,’ ‘biological,’ ‘chemically-imbalanced’ or
‘genetic.’” —Dr. Fred Baughman
Jr., child neurologist, Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology.”
Medical professionals continue to tell us that they do
not know the causes of these mental conditions nor do they have the cure. As
such they continue to simply treat the ‘symptoms’ often with disastrous side
effects. In a future paper ii will
address this issue at length but for now this is my list of the top 18 causes
of psychosis in no particular order as they are all
equally accountable in susceptible people:
·
Alcohol and drug abuse
·
Dehydration
·
The aging process
·
Pain and fever
·
Insomnia
·
Emotional trauma
·
Depression
·
Malnutrition and low blood
sugar levels
·
Food additives
·
Stress
·
Environmental pollution
·
Sexual health
·
Adverse side effects of
pharmaceutical drugs
·
Brain tumours and cancers
·
Malaria
·
Syphilis
·
Vaccinations
·
Cannabinoid deficiency
With all the
environmental negativity, stress and increase of poisons in our food, soil and
water which we all have to endure today, symptoms of these will naturally manifest
in many different forms of behaviour and thought processes amongst our diverse
human race. In medical matters some repetition is necessary and again ii say, it
is mostly due to the added poisons in our food, water, soil and vaccinations
that we are seeing such a radical increase of dementia related conditions at
younger ages manifesting as autism, ADD and ADD, bipolar and schizophrenia.
Humans have always been evolving and ii see this clearly
when ii look closely at the youth.
Children today are different to when ii was a child and even when my own
children were young. There are many
studies you can look at on Indigo Children, Crystal Children and even Diamond, Rainbow
and Golden children.
All these studies indicate that many children are now coming
to earth with a higher wisdom and consciousness. They are highly sensitive and can sense the
deceit and negativity on the planet and many indeed find it over whelming and
too much to bear, and this how ‘autism’ is developed in young children. These children find the energies around them,
sadly even in their own homes to be undesirable and this is why we find so many
children ‘withdrawing’ but actually they are just looking for peace from the
negative environment which could be a simple thing like a television set
playing or music playing around the 741 Hz frequency vibration which is the
frequency of fear and negativity. It might help some parents to be aware of
frequency vibrations as my experience with young children has indicated that
they are very sensitive to these so you must try to only play music which
vibrates to either 528 or 432 Hz which are the frequencies of love and harmony.
These children also come to earth with memories of past
lives and verbally speak about these memories and these are the children who would
be diagnosed as mentally ill and put on some strong anti psychotic drug and
usually this would sort the problem out. A lot of children around the age of three,
myself include (1970’s), quickly realize that they are receiving a negative
vibration to their meditations and they start to block these thoughts and stop
verbalizing sometimes not speaking to anyone at all. It is not unreasonable to imagine a young child
in this state of mind wishing to escape their undesirable reality.
Whether you accept evolution as a science or not you have
to accept that children today are far more spiritually advanced than previous
generations and there is a lot of solid proof of this fact because it is not
just a theory and this is a very important factor to consider when looking for
logical solutions for mental disorders. We absolutely have to treat the inner
and outer human when looking at mental and physical health.
According to the NIMH (National Institute for Mental Health)
51 million people are currently suffering with schizophrenia worldwide and The South African Federation for Mental
Health says that approximately 1% of the our population between the age of
15 to 35 will develop schizophrenia. In America it is said that every 67
seconds someone is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and 5 million people are
living with it there and even more research shows that 1 in 3 seniors will die
of Alzheimer’s disease or some other form of dementia. If you add to these already horrific
statistics to the numbers involved with the other conditions like bipolar and
autism, this is beginning to represent global epidemic.
We live in a world where a bunch
of carrots is double the price of a hamburger filled with toxins and the
majority of most populations are living in poverty. It is a world where the
majority of the money and power is kept in the hands of the few. Most of our
people besides being poor are also dealing with other diseases of civilization
such as heart disease, diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol and so on, take note
all diet related.
These
medical conditions eat away at already tight budgets. And ii have seen loads of
family interviews from middle and lower income groups where people are forced
to make serious decisions about how they eat based on how much money they have
and they end up buying ‘cheap and nasty fast foods’ because it is cheaper than
fruit and vegetables.
It is no
secret that good nutrition is required for optimum performance of the brain
however there is a lot of information which is not taught at school or tertiary
level and ii highly recommend the teachings of Dr Russell Blaylock and Dr
Joseph Mercola which ii used as my main sources in my original dissertation
under the topic of Nutrition and brain function and in particular the
destructive effects of food additives such as MSG and Aspartame.
SO,
CAN CANNABIS CURE
SCHIZOPHRENIA?
In previous papers ii have written
about the functions of the recently discovered physiological system named The
Endocannabinoid System (named after the Cannabis
plant) as well as the top 6 cannabinoids we are currently working the most with.
The most important fact that ii have
realised through my studies thus far, is that whole herbal Cannabis is far more superior to any synthetic attempt to isolate
cannabinoids, in particular THC being the main active ingredient. Cannabinoids simply do not seem to work as
effectively in isolation.
The chemistry of the Cannabis plant is complex and there are over 460 known chemical
constituents of the Cannabis plant
and more than 80 of these are cannabinoids, with new ones being discovered
almost daily.
So much more research is required to secure an over
standing of the full mechanisms of the Endocannabinoid System and all of the
cannabinoids present in the Cannabis
plant, and how they work together to produce this life saving natural medicine.
For the purpose of this paper we can look at the
effects of the top six cannabinoids on the human brain.
THC – Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol -
psychoactive
THC
is the most well-known of all the cannabinoids and is the most active
ingredient as well as the most psychoactive component of the Cannabis plant.
More
than any other cannabinoid THC is associated with the majority of the
pharmacologic effects of Cannabis,
which means, without THC most of the other cannabinoids would not occur or
function in its absence. This fact supports the idea that cannabinoids do not
work in isolation.
It
is critical to have an overstanding of the effects of psychedelic substances
and in this respect we must strive to gain the responsibility to respect our
dosage as only tiny amounts of cannabinoids is required to sustain optimum
health.
It
is very important to be aware that the chemical profile of Cannabis has changed drastically over the past 30 years. It is true that these days modern Cannabis contains more than double the
amount of THC as it did back in the flower power 1960’s and as a result of this
these modern strains tend to contain far less of the neuro-protective
cannabinoid discussed below CBD. This
again supports the idea that strains which are lower in THC will naturally be
higher in CBD.
It
is also a reality that growers who selectively breed high THC strains are also
selecting against the gene that produces CBD, which means that in the pursuit
to produce stronger Cannabis some
growers may actually end up out breeding a chemical which is responsible for
the wellbeing of mental health. This is exactly why ii advocate that each
person who needs Cannabis for
medicinal purposes opts to grow their own.
It is false freedom where you are not in control of the production of
your medicine and you do not know for sure what is in it or where it comes from
or how it was grown.
Again,
so much more quality research is required in this field of study and factors
like growing customs limit our ability to fully interpret findings and to make
generalizations about CBD and THC administration on psychotic symptoms, and
indeed there are researchers who claim to be achieving positive results with “CBD
only” extracts.
THC has the ability to
alter behaviour, mood perception and consciousness and often promotes the
meditation of sharing, humour and creativity, and feelings of euphoria. In my
paper “Does Cannabis cause psychosis” you can read about how Cannabis reveals
YOU to you…
The
healing properties of THC include anti-cancer, anti-nausea, pain killer,
appetite and metabolic regulation, anti-spasm,
anti-inflammatory, muscle relaxant,
antimicrobial, neuro-protection
(assists the brain from degenerating over time), anti-oxidant and so many
more.
CBD – Cannabidiol – Non psychoactive
CBD is a major constituent of medical Cannabis and does not possess
psychoactive properties.
The presence of CBD can reduce some of the
psychoactive effects of THC. So in other words a strain which is high in CBD
will naturally be lower in THC so there will be less if any of a ‘high’.
CBD continues to show potential to relieve convulsion and inflammation, CBD has also been shown
to have neuro protection, anti- anxiety and anti-psychotic properties
and is proving to bring great relief
to people suffering with schizophrenia,
Alzheimer’s, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s and frequent anxiety attacks and
seizures.
This is ironic since the opposition keep on insisting
that Cannabis causes schizophrenia,
and remember one of the functions of the Endocannabinoid System is neurogenesis,
generating new brain cells. Many people suffering with schizophrenia admit that
using CBD rich Cannabis oil provides
relief with overwhelming benefits.
There is no evidence to support the statement that Cannabis causes schizophrenia or
psychosis and in fact there is more evidence to suggest that Cannabis use does NOT cause mental
disorders. In numerous controlled studies it has been proven that CBD enhances
the signalling of Anandamide (a natural cannabinoid produced by our bodies) and
which naturally relieves the psychotic symptoms of schizophrenia.
CBD also promotes uninterrupted sleep patterns which
is essential to overall health and well -being. Insomnia is usually a big
problem for people suffering with schizophrenia and indeed all the other conditions
involving degeneration of brain cells.
There is not much you can do to increase CBD levels
other than to choose strains with a known high CBD content. CBD is naturally found in higher amounts in
low THC varieties such as Cannabis
ruderalis and some hemp species. So in other words, people suffering from
schizophrenia and other dementia conditions would need to source a ‘lower THC
quality’ herb to prepare a high CBD medication. Some of the known high CBD
strains include Charlotte’s Web’, Harlequin, AC/DC, Sour Tsunami as well as
Cannatonic.
CBN – Cannabinol – Slightly psychoactive
CBN is only somewhat psychoactive at approximately 10%
of the activity of THC.
CBN is a breakdown product of THC which takes place
when THC is exposed to light or heat.
CBN levels in buds can be influenced by harvest,
drying and curing processes and by waiting a little bit longer to harvest,
until the trichomes are amber in colour, often results in higher levels of CBN.
Higher exposure to air during the drying and curing stage and a longer curing
phase also results in higher levels of CBN.
CBN
in the presence of THC presents anti-anxiety properties, but does not in the
absence of THC.
This is where we start to realise the intricacies of
this plant and its components and in my experience treating a number of
conditions, you will often hear me saying that all indications are that
truthfully cannabinoids do not work effectively when isolated especially from
THC.
CBN
has sedative properties and has shown very promising anti-spasm properties,
which is helping many children and adults who suffer from seizures. CBN also
promotes uninterrupted sleep patterns.
CBN
cannot exist without the presence of THC, and again
this is the main reason why synthetic cannnabinoids are not as successful as
herbal Cannabis. CBN is the primary product of THC
degradation, and there is usually very little CBN in the fresh plant. CBN content increases as THC degrades in
storage, and with exposure to light and air.
This is known as the curing process after harvest and is critical to the
potency and purity and therefore to the quality of the medication you are
making.
CBG – Cannabigerols – Non psychoactive
CBG has been identified as a primary cannabinoid
because of the ability of the Cannabis
plant to produce Cannabigerolic Acid (CBGA) which is exactly what makes the Cannabis plant so unique.
So chemically speaking CBG is the forerunner to the
three major branches of cannabinoids:
Tetra-Hydrocannabinolic acid (THCA), Cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) and
Cannabichromenic acid (CBCA).
Cannabis
has natural enzymes called synthases (a chemical enzyme which is the catalyst
in a synthetic process), which breaks
the CBGA down to produce the various cannanbinoids.
The Cannabis plant
has three synthases which have been identified (THC –synthase, CBD synthase,
CBC –synthase) and are so named after the cannabinoid which they create.
CBG is found in higher concentrations in hemp than in
varieties of Cannabis usually
cultivated for a low THC content. So again, if you are looking to make a
medicine which is high CBD and CBG you need to source a low THC quality herb.
THCV – Tetrahydrocannabivarin - Psychoactive
THCV is almost identical in chemical structure to THC,
but slightly different in that unlike THC, CBD and CBC, THCV does not start out
as a cannabigerolic acid (CBGA).
Instead of combining with olivetolic acid to create
CBGA, the geranyl phosphate joins forces with divarinolic acid, which has two less carbon molecules.
The result is Cannabigerovarin acid (CBGVA). Once CBGVA is created, the process continues
exactly the same as it does for THC.
CBGVA is broken down to tetrahydrocannabivarin carboxylic acid (THCVA)
by the THCV synthase. At that point,
THCVA can be decarboxylated with heat or UV light to create THCV.
The effect of THCV on the CB1 and CB2 receptors is
different to the effects of THC.
THCV has shown to reduce and even completely block
panic attacks and this feature has THCV
also showing great potential to be able to lower the seizure and convulsion
threshold for people suffering from seizures and spasms.
Some of the best loved sativa strains are known to be
high in THCV for example Durban poison and many of the ‘Haze’ and ‘Cheese’
strains as well as their hybrids.
CBC – Cannabichromenes – non psychoactive
NEUROGENESIS
The Endocannabinoid Research Group
stated that their results suggest that CBC can help the growth and survival of
NPSCs.
Neural Progenitor Stem Cell (NPSCs), are the stem
cells of the brain and are vital to brain functioning. NPSCs are the precursors to the three types
of brain cells, being neurons, oligondendrocytes and astrocytes, and because
they are able to create any of these cells, they are now being investigated
to help regenerate brain cells. One can only begin to imagine how valuable
this therapy would be in the treatment of Epilepsy, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s,
schizophrenia, Multiple Sclerosis and other neurological disorders.
Astrocytes are the most prevalent cells in the brain
and their role is to support and protect the neurons. At the site of injury,
astrocytes repair a damaged area and replace any area that cannot be repaired.
The scientists at The Endocannabinoid Research Group
have found that CBC is related to higher concentrations of NPSCs. CBC also seems to inhibit the creation of
proteins that cause the NPSCs to convert to other brain cells and this suggests that CBC may interact with
this process and also take on the characteristics of being able to decide what
brain cells are being developed and when they are being developed at cellular
level. Brilliant natural technology!
CBC’s ability to promote neurogenesis is a
fairly recent finding but previous studies suggest that THC and CBD can do the
same, which again illustrates my reasoning that isolated or synthetic
cannabinoids simply do not work as well as when working with the whole Cannabis plant and in particular THC.
CONCLUSION AND FINAL MOTIVATION
It
can be extremely difficult to know how to respond to someone suffering with
schizophrenia or any other neurological disorder. Because people suffering
from schizophrenia suffer from difficulties in thinking, perceiving the world
around them, and controlling their emotional responses, schizophrenia is especially
difficult to treat.
Remember
that these beliefs or hallucinations seem very real to the person. It is not
helpful to say they are wrong or imaginary. As a caregiver one has to be
extremely humble, tolerant and patient at the exact same time. Being
respectful, supportive, and kind without tolerating dangerous or inappropriate
behavior is the best way to approach people suffering with schizophrenia and
other dementia related conditions.
Currently, treatment
comprises of therapy and antipsychotics, however, treatment with medication is
far from perfect. Because patients taking these drugs have to deal with a range
of side effects, such as drowsiness, uncontrollable movements, and weight gain,
schizophrenia's symptoms and the medication's side effects can result in many
patients failing to take their medication properly.
Research shows that an
alarming 42% of mental and neurological patients do not take their medication
because of the side effects and this means that there is a large and unmet
demand for new treatment options.
In many places around the
world including South Africa and specifically the Eastern Cape there is not
much in the way of treatment and sometimes patients and caregivers alike may
feel that the only real way to deal with schizophrenia is to lock the sufferer
up in an institution where they are medicated all day. Such institutions offer
nothing more than to ‘keep’ and take these ill-fated souls off the hands of
their caregivers who are often simply not able to cope.
The story of Yvonne Jensen as documented by
her daughter Toni Wombaker and can be viewed on you tube. It is a heartbreakingly accurate account of
what millions of people are suffering with across the world. To be honest
sometimes ii have more compassion for the caregivers because conditions of
dementia really are very difficult to deal with if you do not know what is
going on. Take note when you watch this clip towards the end when her daughter
is singing to her, Mrs Jensen begins fidgeting and rubbing her legs for quite
some time. In working with people who suffer from schizophrenia ii have seen
this often before and ii have found that it is very often a sign that they are
feeling the cold but they never seem to ask for a blanket, so it might help
someone to be aware of this especially since our older folks in any case do
tend to feel the cold more.
Something else ii have noticed is that people suffering from
schizophrenia tend to be more emotional when they are getting cold and as you
can see Mrs Jensen was shedding a few tears and ii really think that this is
because she was getting cold. It is also interesting that research has shown
that schizophrenia is more common in cold climates and latitudes further from
the equator.
Another thing ii have
noticed with people suffering from schizophrenia, as well as MS and Parkinson’s
disease is that they often have problems swallowing and this can affect their
nutrition and even cause death. So you have to be very careful when
administering foodstuffs, drinks and medication. Research studies are currently
underway at the Reuth Medical Centre in Israel with Drs Jean-Jaques Vatine and
Aviah Gvion. They wish to establish a
link between Cannabis and improved
swallowing. Cannabis has shown promise of stimulating the regions of the brain
which controls swallowing reflexes and this will have a positive impact on
people struggling with this condition.
It is not a possession by an evil spirit. It has nothing to do with multiple
personalities even though the word originally meant ‘split mind’ in fact referring
to a difference between thought and action.
It also has nothing to do with a chemical imbalance of the
brain. In fact if there is any chemical
imbalance and we took a closer look you would see an imbalance in the harmful
and neuro-toxic chemicals which are intentionally hidden in our food and water
supply.
Schizophrenia is not a character flaw and its symptoms are
a bit like seizures are to people suffering from epilepsy meaning that their
symptoms are not their fault. The same must apply for other symptoms like
memory loss and verbal rambling and lack of organization. Victims of
schizophrenia are not violent people and usually they are more likely to
withdraw from society than to go around causing problems. Some of the examples
used in the media are the exception rather than the norm. Schizophrenia is not
a clear cut situation where a person either has psychosis or not. It develops
over time and can happen to anyone.
Schizophrenia is not a genetic condition and there is no evidence
to support this claim.
Most importantly schizophrenia is NOT a death sentence. It is perfectly treatable without turning
victims into zombies by administering harmful neuro-toxic chemical
substances. People suffering from this
condition can by just making simple changes in their lives, based on
personalised treatment programs can live perfectly normal fulfilling lives and
achieve their full human potential.
The most responsible thing to do is to educate
yourself with the facts about psychiatry so that you yourself can make informed
decisions on your health and that of your family.
There are healthy solutions to
control mental illness and Dr Loren Mosher MD and founder of the Soteria
Project supports this theory. This project illustrated that there are better
ways to treat the terrible afflictions that are often labeled ‘schizophrenia’,
‘bipolar’ and other man made psychoses that destroy the lives of so many
families around the world. We give thanks because we now live in an era where
there is hope where there was no hope before.
With personal responsibility and self discipline we can all heal ourselves
of any medical condition be it physical, mental or spiritual within the body.
Perhaps
more important than education and research is the actual unlearning of certain
aspects of human behaviour. We need to
unlearn the negative behavioural traits associated with the ego and strive to
become more in touch with the positive behavioural traits of our intuition
which is governed by LOVE where the ego is governed by FEAR.
Also we
seriously need to think hard about what we are consuming.
We must
stop blaming Babylon (the system) and Monsanto and MSG and we must take
responsibility for our own situations because in reality as humans we have
become too busy too lazy too preoccupied too distracted to notice that we do
not even know where our food comes from and we have blindly accepted non organic
and processed foods and big business has simply taken advantage…we are
responsible for this situation ourselves and we need to reverse this situation.
It was only the initial
observation that many schizophrenic patients were consuming marijuana that
created the whole "Cannabis-causes-schizophrenia"
commotion in the first place. So if you went to the doctor with any mental
illness, including schizophrenia, they would ask if you've ever used marijuana
before. Then they would automatically blame the Cannabis as the source of the patient’s entire problem, and claim
that Cannabis triggered psychosis...
which is complete utter absurdity as there is absolutely no scientific or other
proof of this.
Only in recently studies
has it been correctly established that in fact these patients were actually
successfully treating their symptoms with Cannabis
and that most patients were getting effective relief. Of course, it is now too
late to take back those scary headlines, and prohibitionists continue to this
day to spread their lies. Be that as it
may there are many positive clinical trials currently underway most of which
are producing positive results that indeed Cannabis
Can Cure schizophrenia!
Scientists and researchers
all over the world are suggesting that CBD high Cannabis could treat schizophrenia and be much more effective than
other drugs by having fewer side effects. Such suggestions indicate that Cannabis may be helpful in the
management of psychotic symptoms characterized by a loss of contact with
reality, such as those experienced by people suffering with schizophrenia. These
suggestions are coming full of fire as pressure continues to rise on world governments
to legalize Cannabis for medicinal
purposes.
In previous papers on the discovery of
the Endocannabinoid System ii have stated emphatically that there is no medical
condition physical, mental or spiritual, which cannot be cured with Cannabis since we are designed to
consume this plant, and the more research ii do the more ii am convinced that
in fact all medical disorders are in fact due to Cannabinoid Deficiency.
The Endocannabinoid System communicates its
messages in a unique way because it essentially works in reverse, where other
neurotransmitters are released and attach themselves to receptors on the post
synaptic neuron forward to the presynaptic neuron.
When a neuron is activated, the chemical
messengers (neurotransmitters) of the Endocannabinoid System, cannabinoids, are
produced on demand from the fat cells already present in the neuron.
Cannabinoids are then released from that cell
and travel in reverse to the presynaptic neuron and attach to the cannabinoid
receptors of that cell.
The importance of this is that cannabinoids can actually act on presynaptic
cells and therefore they can control what happens next when these cells are
activated. Indeed a superior and brilliant defense system.
So
cannabinoids work like a “dimmer switch” for presynaptic neurons by limiting
the amount of various different neurotransmitters that gets released and this
affects how messages and hormones are sent and received and processed by the
cell.
The sole
purpose of this function is to protect the cells from homeostatic imbalances
which, is essential to sustaining life and optimum health as well as adjusting
to environmental changes which are constantly changing and sadly not
positively.
All evidence indicates that
cannabinoids can act as both stimulants and inhibitors of the CB1 and CB2
receptors, (the immune and nervous systems) and this is particularly evident in
the research we have already seen on how cannabinoids affect neurological
disorders, seizures and spasms as well as anti- psychotic functions, its seems
clear that whatever stress the brain is under from external sources, where
there are cannabinoids present they will rectify the situation and in certain
cases avoid, relieve and rectify a neurological disorder.
The most wonderful thing about Cannabis is that it works perfectly well
with prescription medications and in fact alleviates most of the horrible side
effects of these medications such as nausea for instance. For example many chemotherapy patients are
using Cannabis effectively to deal
with the negative side effects they have to endure.
If you or someone you
love is ill please refer to my paper “The
Cannabis Coconut Connection” to learn how to make this medication.
