The Human Companion Plant ~ Chapter Outline

The Human Companion Plant ~ Chapter Outline

First Impressions

“As ii write these words ii am trying to portray Cannabis as the literal bridge between mind and body healing because Cannabis unmistakably controls certain elements of consciousness thus bringing healing physically, mentally, spiritually, economically, communally and most certainly beyond….so consciousness is a very big part of the healing experiences ii have been blessed to witness in my life. It is this consciousness of the Cannabis plant which has evolved this plant from living in the depths of the oceans to become the entity to which ii respectfully refer to as “The Human Companion Plant.”

This is my personal story embracing the past present and future of Cannabis medicine…the untold story of a mysterious present, an unexplainable past and a future filled with infinity. Even though it is a story penned in pain my story is affectionately narrated in love. This is the true story of how a plant earns the right to be loved; respected and indeed praised. If you take anything from this book…take this…it is health that is true wealth and not gold and silver…for no amount of money can truly buy excellent health. This is because true health comes from within. True health starts in your own mind when you start to take responsibility for your own existence. Most of the time health comes from peace of mind, peace in the heart and peace in the soul. As you read the last words of this book you might believe me when ii say that good health comes from love and laughter and Cannabis can give us both.”

Chapter 1 ~ Sin gets its power from the law

People have been asking me most of my life whether ii believe Cannabis will ever be ‘legalized’ and as ii have always said ii do not support this proposed style of legalization which ii now refer to as I-legalization and so the main reason ii am still an activist and travel around the country to support various efforts is to muster support for the immediate release of all Cannabis inmates pending the outcome of these high court hearings. This is no easy task as not many people are interested in listening to my story while we are all walking freely on the outside. Certainly ii cannot count on the department of correctional services because if they freed all Cannabis inmates the prisons might be pretty empty and now in our future people will be thrown in prison for cigarettes as well. The only person who was really helpful was Jeremy Acton leader of the Dagga Party who gave me some guidance on how to get into the prison system as a priestess. So it became obvious to me that as long as people are walking free on the outside they will not really spare a thought for those locked inside among rapists and prisoners. The truth is that the governments want to make money from both the plant and the prison system and this is why ii suggest they turn the prisons into grow-houses but this is not likely to happen.

In my younger day ii used to dream of a legal Cannabis industry where smart and conscious people with creative business minds would be looking at a unique opportunity to develop a completely different type of industry. My dreams have ceased to come to me and all ii can see is corporate domination of a God given plant.”

Chapter 2 ~ Can Cannabis cure racialism?

“There is another aspect to Cannabis prohibition which concerns racialism, and in particular the uprising of the socio-political spiritual movement of Rastafari following the crowning of our deity Emperor of Ethiopia Haile Selassie I on 2 November 1930. No less than 82 countries paid homage at the coronation of His Imperial Majesty where he was amongst other accolades, crowned “King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Elect of God and light of the world, Rightful Ruler of the Earth, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah…”  If these titles sound familiar it is because it comes out of the Bible and to be honest the Bible is the only place you can truly read about Rastafari, some men have tried to write about it before but it is always distorted. The reason why all the kings and queens including the Queen of England had to bow down to His Majesty is because Emperor Haile Selassie 1 is a direct descendant of King David and therefore Jesus Christ and therefore He is above any of these kings and queens. This is a fact and you can read about it in the Psalm 72 in verse 11.

The Rastafari movement claimed the Cannabis plant as their ‘holy herb’ to be consumed in Thanks and Praise as a sacrament to worship JAH (GOD). It is quite interesting to note that the racist Cannabis Prohibition laws in South Africa actually started with the persecution of the Indian people brought over to Natal now KZN to slave in the sugar plantations, and in order to control them they changed the laws to prohibit only the Indians from consuming Cannabis. In doing so they declared Cannabis, their sacrament to be illegal. So it was my own country which in 1925 proposed to the League of Nations to ban “Indian Hemp”. This is an interesting part of our history that not many people are aware of and highlights how this plant became illegal in order to control people of color by removing their sacrament.”

Chapter 3 ~ The Holy Anointing Oil

“This may come as a big surprise to many Christians but in fact the true healing powers of the holy anointing oil described in Exodus 30 verse 22 – 25 rests in the Cannabis plant, the plant of renown. To be honest ii have grown disappointed with Christians in their relentless pursuit to persecute this God given plant. Here is a list of the biblical ingredients:

Ø  500 shekels (about 6 kg) pure myrrh
Ø  250 shekels (about 3 kg) sweet cinnamon
Ø  250 shekels (about 3 kg) Kaneh- bosem
Ø  500 shekels (about 6 kg) Cassia
Ø  One hin (about four liters) Olive oil

International sources generally agree about the identity of four of the five ingredients of the anointing oil, but the identity of the fifth, that of ‘Kaneh (Qaneh)-bosem was a matter of controversy. It was only in 1936, that the first solid evidence of the Hebrew use of Cannabis was established by Sula Benet, a Polish etymologist from the Institute of Anthropological Sciences in Warsaw. (He studied the origin of words and how their meanings have changed throughout history). Sula Benet demonstrated that the word for Cannabis is ‘Kaneh-bosm’, also translated in traditional Hebrew as ‘kaneh’ or ‘kannabus’. The word appears five times in the Old Testament; in the books of Exodus 30 verse 22—23, The Songs of Songs 4 verse 14, Isaiah 43 verse 23-24, Jeremiah 6 verse 20 and Ezekiel 27 verse 19.

The word ‘kaneh-bosm’ is now accepted as having been mistranslated as ‘calamus’, a common marsh plant with little value, and does not have the properties attributed to ‘kaneh-bosm’. This error occurred in the oldest Greek translation of the Hebrew Bible, and was repeated in the many translations that followed.

In order for mankind and womankind to truly return to their Creator, their Maker, their God with their whole heart, it is crucial that as individuals we have complete freedom of choice in respect of worship, without persecution so as to be able to follow our own conscience and be led by our own God. Once people begin to access their consciousness it will become easier to realize that a society that keeps a cure like Cannabis a secret and illegal so that they can continue selling drugs at huge profits with hugely negative side effects is not really a society but is actually just a massive mental asylum. Can we afford for this state of affairs to continue into the future?

Chapter 4 ~ The THC Receptors

“People will need to decide for themselves whether they believe we have always had this system or that people and animals are now evolving by developing new biological systems. Even though this system got its name from the Cannabis plant, it doesn’t actually exist because there is a plant in the garden called Cannabis the system exists because we have natural chemicals produced inside our bodies which mimic the properties of THC in the body and THC is only found in the Cannabis plant and ONLY THC can actually bind to the deep pockets of these cannabinoid receptors…others do interact but none actually bind….ONLY THC binds and this is a scientific fact proven”

Chapter 5 ~ Equilibrium, fresh neurons, cellular suicide and skinny jeans

“Have you ever seen a fat ‘pot head’?

There’s been a lot of hype about how Cannabis can help people suffering with Diabetes and can also help people to lose weight. You would think that this would make headline news on the TV but again we give thanks for the internet because now we can access information and discover that researchers have actually known about this for much longer than we realise. So scientists have confirmed that Cannabinoids can actually increase the amount of energy and fat which the body burns.

Although Cannabis is better known for making people hungry who consume it and most people are familiar the expression “the munchies”, our scientists have now only realised that Cannabis also has an appetite suppressing effect. Honestly ii can’t even begin to remember the number of people ii have helped to lose weight with Cannabis it is right up there with sleep and pain problems…everyone knows that Cannabis will help you lose weight but not everyone will admit it. The Elders used to always say “ganja make the people skinny”…indeed you don’t often see an overweight person who uses Cannabis.”

Chapter 6 ~ Who are you outside of your pain body?

 “The spiritual side of pain

Pain is not only physical, and so emotional ‘pain bodies’ also exist where emotional pain which has built up over years, often unknowingly and manifest in the physical. If we are honest with ourselves we will realise that all these self-destructing habit patterns we have developed in time have become our ‘pain body’ which is an incredibly powerful unconscious force with a zestful drive. It has only one purpose…to continue the pattern…to bring us more pain. Let me give you an example…arthritis is a very physical condition with very physical pain, but when you start to look deeper at the spiritual elements of arthritis we learn that it is connected to forgiveness…an emotional pain body. Guilt is another one which often manifests as neck pain and chronic neck pain could mean that you have issues in forgiving yourself. It’s an interesting topic when you go into it and realise many truths like a sore elbow refers to stubbornness, money problems will give most people lower back pain, and sore hands can be a reflection of not being able to connect with other people. Knee pain is always directly related to the ego so pride can be a cause of knee pain.  Grief can cause lung problems and fear will often be the cause of most kidney problems. Anger is the root of most liver problems and everyone knows that worry causes stomach problems and as for stress well we can see people are dying from heart attacks mostly caused by stress.”

Chapter 7 ~ Cannabis literally gives us life

One of the most important medical mysteries of our time is the question as to why a woman’s body does not actually release the foetus and terminate pregnancy.
Scientists in the fields of transplantation immunology and reproductive biology have been baffled for decades as to why a mother’s immune system does not reject the developing foetus and placenta as alien tissue? The foetus and the placenta both express antigens which are different to the mother and in terms of what we know about medicine the maternal immune system should by rights reject this foreign tissue.

The scientists at New York University School of Medicine made a completely unexpected discovery as scientists do. So the human body is by creation designed to reject alien matter when invaded and this usually manifests as fever, diarrhoea and vomiting which is sign that the body is trying to find ways to get rid of the bacteria or virus and so on. In my opinion this is exactly why women and some men even suffer from ‘morning sickness’ the woman’s body is trying to reject the foetus in this first trimester. Now remember that half of the genes of the foetus is from the father and technically could carry genetic code which could actually be a threat to the mother or the child or both. So the foetus is a foreign invader to the mother’s own immune system. But for some miraculous reason the mother’s body does not reject the foetus instead her system changes direction from attacker to protector thus ensuring continuation of life. How does this happen? How is this possible? How does this work? And what has this got to do with Cannabis?”

Chapter 8 ~ Supernatural Super Six

This chapter serves as an introduction to the top 6 Cannabinoids inside the Cannabis plant and what they can do for us. This chapter also highlights the emerging industry of so called Cannabis testing and what this might mean for us in the future. And the following six chapters will take a look at some really interesting facts about the six most well researched Cannabinoids.

 “What is the Entourage Effect?

The concept of the Entourage Effect comes from the Hebrew University in Israel from the laboratory of Professor Raphael Mechoulam and describes how all of the chemical compounds of Cannabis must work together in symphony to create the total of all the plant parts which then transcend to the magic powers of this plant of renown.
So the entourage effect is then the natural combination of an array of the over 140 known Cannabinoids as well as hundreds of other chemical components which together produce the specific natural effects of whole herbal Cannabis. If you have a look at the research produced at The Hadassah Medical School at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem Israel you will find many reports of the effectiveness of whole herbal plant over isolated purified extracts even though Professor Mechoulam is a fan of isolates in order to standardise this medicine.

There are even terpenes and terpenoids of which over 200 have already been identified and which also mimic the actions of Cannabinoids and also have their own powerful healing powers and there are terpenes from other plants which also interact with our CB 1 and 2 receptors so no-one really knows the true number chemical components which the Creator contained within the Cannabis plant.”

Chapter 9 ~ THC the Queen of Cannabinoids

“In Chapter 4 ii mentioned that ii feel that THC and CBD are the royal couple of the Cannabinoid family and so just to be clear ii feel that ii must clarify who is who because later on when we discuss consciousness on a deeper level this will avoid much confusion. So THC is the Queen and CBD is the King and without doubt THC is the most popular of all the Cannabinoids and is also the most psychoactive component of the female Cannabis plant. In the same way as a chessboard queen is the most powerful piece in the game so too THC is the most powerful chemical component of the Cannabis plant.

THC is concerned with the majority of the pharmacologic effects of Cannabis, in order words, without THC most of the other Cannabinoids would not even occur or function in its absence. As we have learnt THC imitates the actions of our own Endocannabinoid known as Anandamide by binding with Cannabinoid receptors and activating neurons, which can cause intricate effects on the mind and body. So we know that THC is the only Cannabinoid which actually binds with the receptors while others only interact, we also know that in nature and in the natural plant THC only acts as a partial agonist of these receptors and we know that THC is only produced by the Cannabis plant.

The word ‘Anandamide’ means joy and this compound is often referred to as ‘the joy or bliss molecule’. Did you notice that the acronym of this book’s title is THC Plant? Ever since my teens when ii learnt that we have “THC receptors” in our body’s ii started referring to Cannabis as “The THC plant”.

Chapter 10 ~ CBD the King of Cannabinoids

“What is the difference between CBD and THC?

THC is the main psychoactive and the main pharmacological component of Cannabis and THC is only found in the Cannabis plant. CBD on the other hand has been identified in other plants. THC is therefore the main agonist of the THC receptors because it is the only Cannabinoid which actually binds with these receptors. THC also has the ability to alter the physiochemical nature of the lipid bilayer of cells and interacts with the integral membrane protein receptors through alteration of the boundary lipid.  So here again you can see how Cannabis is able to literally shape shift any cell in our bodies to perform healing. The main target of THC is the brain which ii remind you is 60% fat. CBD is the main antagonist of the THC receptors and this is how it is able to help people with things like anxiety, depression, pain, epilepsy, insomnia and so on. While CBD may not be able to bind with the THC receptors it most certainly can bind to the Serotonin receptors and this is exactly how CBD produces its anti-anxiety effects.

THC can also bind to all of our other receptors and in fact in the pharmacological world some Cannabinoids like THC and CBD are referred to as “promiscuous” because they both have so many different targets to conquer. CBD can also bind to our vanilloid receptors and this is one of the ways how it manifests its pain killing, anti-inflammatory and temperature control effects. The vanilloid receptor is basically the chemical gateway to the pain pathway.
THC is ‘active’… meaning ‘psychedelically active’ and active because it binds to the THC Receptors CB1 & 2. CBD is ‘inactive’ meaning it does not possess psychedelic properties and it does not bind to these two receptors. THC is found abundantly in the female Cannabis with the highest concentration in the flowers. CBD is found abundantly in the Hemp plant, Cannabis ruderalis and other low THC strains, some species which may contain as little as 0.3% of THC. This is the legal marker for determining whether a plant is Hemp or not. The way ii see things THC is responsible for the receptors and CBD is responsible for regulating the Endocannabinoids and there is evidence to prove that CBD can control when Endocannabinoids are broken down as well as increasing Endocannabinoid levels inside the body.”

Chapter 11 ~ CBN the sleepy Cannabinoid

“No one can deny that this plant is truly highly evolved… a plant of renown for sure and while most people’s Cannabis doesn’t stay around long enough to appreciate long term biosynthesis and this also why a lot of people will tell you that ‘old weed’ is ‘bad weed’ and is no good and that Cannabis has an expiry date but this is simply not true. Because if properly stored Cannabis can in truth last for up to 5 years without losing too much THC potency. It seems that today with all the higher grades out there people can become confused between ‘good’ weed and expensive weed, being indoor grown plants. It has already been proven that indoor plants lack certain essential components and have less CBG and THC as their counterparts grown in the sun. Many people believe that indoor growing is really bad for everyone including the environment and there are people actually campaigning to end indoor growing. To be fair not everyone is in the position to grow outdoors so any attempt to safely produce this medicine is perfectly fine in my opinion.”

Chapter 12 ~ CBG the only cure for glaucoma

In the 1970’s Peter Tosh wrote a song called ‘Bush Doctor’ and included in these lyrics was the revelation that not only is Cannabis the only cure for asthma but also the only cure for glaucoma and to this day this remains the truth and has since been scientifically confirmed. Give thanks to Rastafari for bringing this medicine to the people over the ages which no one in modern times seems to want to respect.

Why does Cannabis make our eyes red?
Interestingly enough the main reason our eyes become red after smoking Cannabis is also the main reason why Cannabis is becoming renowned for its treatment of glaucoma. Basically Cannabis reduces blood pressure, which in turn causes blood vessels and capillaries to dilate. The ocular capillaries dilate which increases the flow of blood to the eyes and this is what naturally reduces intraocular pressure. A lot of people will argue that this is not a good idea and red eyes surely must be a sign of a problem.  Some people will tell you that Cannabis sets your brain on fire and this is why your eyes go red.  Just so you know…alcohol does the exact same thing because alcohol is also a vaso dilator. What ii can tell you is that the red eyes effect of Cannabis is short lived just like the psychedelic effects, the laughing and the increased appetite, ii honestly cannot remember when last someone commented on me having red eyes, except maybe when ii was testing BHO products but that is another story.  The reality is that the stronger the THC strain the redder your eyes will be but as said before this is also short lived. Some people will even say that actually the weaker the THC strain the more red the eyes…so yes everyone is different, every eye is different and indeed every Cannabis plant is different. So for example a person can smoke a low THC strain one day and have little to no eye redness, while the very next day their eyes may be blood shot after eating a high THC strain edible product.

This also explains why red eyes can still occur even in the absence of smoke proving that it is not the smoke which makes our eyes red but the actual Cannabinoids. Personally ii would take red eyes over blindness any day. So increased blood flow creates the redness, while the decrease in ocular pressure is the same effect which benefits glaucoma patients.”

Chapter 13 ~ THCV the skinny Cannabinoid

“We have learnt that Cannabinoids can perform as both agonists and antagonists of the receptors so THCV is actually an antagonist (inhibitor) of the CB1 and CB2 receptors, so in other words instead of stimulating these receptors THCV actually blocks them from being activated which is what makes THCV so important in the study of obesity, appetite control and metabolic regulation which it has already shown signs of being able to control, as an appetite suppressant. Although Cannabis is better known for inducing hunger in those who consume it, scientists have now discovered what we have always known that Cannabis also has an appetite suppressing effect. It has been clinically proven that Cannabis boosts metabolism, leading to lower levels of fat in the liver and reduced cholesterol in the blood stream. And as ii have said before THCV is exactly the reason why on average Cannabis consumers are slimmer than people who do not consume Cannabis.”

Chapter 14 ~ CBC the stem cell Cannabinoid

“How does CBC work in the brain?

Astrocytes are the most common of the brain cells and their role is to support and protect the neurons. Their technology is such that at any site of injury, astrocytes repair a damaged area and replace any area that cannot be repaired. Scientists at The Endocannabinoid Research Group now know that CBC is related to higher concentrations of NPSCs.  So this is no longer just traditional healer hearsay that Cannabis can literally grow new brain cells this is now scientifically proven. So CBC can inhibit the creation of proteins that cause the NPSCs to convert to other brain cells and this of course suggests that CBC interacts with this process and as ii have said before can actually take on the characteristics of being able to decide what brain cells are being developed and when they are being developed at cellular level. This is such brilliant natural engineering design and this is exactly why we are having so much success with brain conditions. After all the main target of Cannabis is the brain. CBC’s ability to promote neurogenesis is a fairly recent finding but previous studies suggest that THC and CBD can do the same, which again proves that this medicine works far more effectively when the whole plant is used as opposed to isolated or synthetic cannabinoids.

In terms of cancer CBC has shown to have anti-proliferative effects, which means it inhibits the growth of cancerous tumours.  This is because CBC interacts with our natural Anandamide which we now also know aids in the fight against human breast cancer. CBC inhibits the uptake of Anandamide, which allows it to stay in the blood stream longer. This is why Cannabis is so effective in the treatment of breast cancers. We saw earlier under CBN how Limonene is one of the terpenes present in Cannabis and it has the power to produce apoptosis (cell suicide) of breast cancer cells.

CBC also has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and very promising anti-biotic properties and in addition CBC together with CBG and CBN is also now scientifically known to stimulate bone growth, which is a profound discovery in researching osteoporosis making whole herbal plant healing a truth to consider as we move into the future of Cannabis Medicine and into the future of the aging process.”

Chapter 15 ~ Monsters in the mirror

 “The role of modern psychiatry

It has always been my personal feeling that the true cause of the social decline that we are seeing increase in our age today is to be found in the just over 200 year old history of modern psychiatry. The goal always seems to be the suppression of the individual, and not to actually cure mental illness. Mental disorders have been around as long as mankind has but before the 1800’s there was very little hope for mental patients and mostly it was believed that they were victims of demonic possession and were treated brutally often fatally.  Women with mental disorders were considered witches and burnt at the stake. Women had a hard time in these matters and up until as recently as the 1950’s a woman’s orgasm was considered a mental condition because no one could explain it since all the scientists were men.

Modern psychiatry has now moved beyond the mental institutions and into society. It has evolved into a hungry profit driven industry which results in shocking statistics of deaths from the side effects of their treatments.
So it is not hard to see from the many stories shared online; you can watch the movie “Side Effects” written and produced by ex- pharmaceutical representatives, how modern psychiatry has basically repackaged human emotions and behaviours as ‘disease’ or ‘disorder’. They do this to sell their drugs at massive profits. So ii have no doubt that through this style of medical repackaging the medical world is quite able to ‘invent’ a host of so called ‘mental’ disorders as well as the expensive dangerous designer drugs to ‘treat’ these. If you look closely you will clearly see that this is a smartly executed marketing campaign rather than a medical science.”

Chapter 16 ~ Counterfeit Cannabis

“Why is GM bad for humans?

The biggest problem with trying to alter nature is that you not only make the changes you want but you will also incur extra uncontrollable changes which are usually negative for example the creation of toxins which are potentially dangerous and even lethal. So this is exactly what we are dealing with right now with the food situation.  Genetically modified corn produces all these toxins to kill off the insects but in the meantime these same toxins are causing massive disease amongst humans not to mention misery. The thing is and there is a lot of evidence on the net about this which you can take a look at…these people are using an agrobacterium which is supposed to make the plant stronger, pest resilient and increase yield of course but what is happening is that this agrobacterium is actually skipping species and this is manifesting in the disturbing diseases we are seeing in humans everywhere in the world. Do you really think it will be any different with Cannabis?

Chapter 17 ~ How to speak to your doctor about Cannabis

“The people who demonise Cannabis often refer to it as ‘devils lettuce’ or ‘mountain cabbage’ so let me just ask you this: Do you have an endo-lettuce or endo-cabbage system in your body??? NO!!! you don’t…not even vegans have such a system…no one has such a system…but we all do including animals and fish and birds…for goodness sakes even the jelly fish has a set of THC receptors and Endocannabinoids within. For those of you who need science to prove what you believe in…these are all scientific facts which science took hundreds of years to deliver to you when we always knew that we were designed to consume Cannabis.  But please just know that humans did not just wake up in the early 1990’s suddenly expressing the EC System…ii promise you on my own life that you and your ancestors have always had these THC receptors.

In chapter 7 we started chatting about Cannabinoid Deficiency which is another scientific fact and you can look at “Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency (CECD)”…yes they have even labelled a condition to tell you that you are at risk of Cannabinoid Deficiency so here is more ‘scientific proof’ that you are designed to consume Cannabis. It really blows my mind that they tell us about this deficiency but at the same time we are forbidden by law to produce our own medicine and what really blows my mind is that we blindly accept this.”

Chapter 18 ~ What about the little children?

“Truly the saddest thing for me in my life has been working with sick children not really because of how they are suffering but because of the way children deal with their suffering. Such brave little souls from whom ii have personally learnt so much especially in respect of dealing with pain. It is truth that the suffering of little children can humble even the most stone hearted man. In my experience there is a difference between adult suffering and child suffering in terms of how each handles their pain and suffering and ii have noticed that little children are much better at handling sufferance.

When you hear stories that our natural Cannabinoids are also found in the colostrum and human breast milk then you have to ask the obvious question “Why?” Why did God make certain that molecules which resemble plant derived Cannabinoids such as THC and CBD end up being present in breast milk for the first feeding of human life? Now remember what ii shared with you in Chapter 7 how Cannabis and Cannabinoids literally give us life at the moment of conception.

The reason is simple because we now have scientific proof that the activation of the THC receptors by our natural Endocannabinoids known as Anandamide and 2AG is crucial to the suckling response in new born babies. Another scientific fact is that Anandamide has a neuro-protective effect on the postnatal brain.

So while most of the world is rushing around playing legal games about how to deliver Cannabis to the people instead of simply giving it back to us…the biggest question on my mind is What about the children?”

Chapter 19 ~ Cannabis and the blood

“According to the piles of medical evidence the way Cannabis works on blood pressure is a “complex matter”. In my opinion they label this medical marvel as complex because they do not understand that Cannabis has dual purpose in healing. You could say that Cannabis has paradoxical healing abilities and the reason for this is because the chemical components of the plant can act as both agonists and antagonists of the THC receptors or EC System. Scientists and students will forever be baffled by this puzzling medical enigma. It is this mysterious ambiguity in the highly effective functioning of Cannabis which allows this mystical healing plant to be able to both increase or decrease blood pressure in the same way as it is able to both suppress and stimulate the appetite.

People need to comprehend that this plant will set out to rectify whatever is causing imbalance in the body regardless of any diagnosis given by a doctor. This is why there often appears to be conflicting information available on the effects of Cannabis on the blood system.

Even in perfectly healthy people any excitement like exercise will definitely cause an initial rise in blood pressure and heart rate. Cannabis works a lot like exercise.  Straight after exercise there is a slight increase in blood pressure and heart rate.  But after this initial period, which can last as long as an hour there is an overall blood pressure reduction.  So immediately after the stimulus there is an increase in the risk of cardiac events and often we hear of marathon runners going into cardiac arrest. It’s the same story with sexual activity and this is why people with heart conditions are cautioned.

We do know that no one has ever passed away or had a fatal heart attack from consuming whole herbal Cannabis. Ever!”

Chapter 20 ~ The older we get the younger we become

“Many menopausal women are prescribed certain SSRI drugs all Prozac based and some are even anti-epileptic drugs with serious side effects like weight gain, gastric stress and sexual dysfunction. Cannabis is therefore a far more suitable alternative because it stimulates the Pineal gland to increase our uptake of Serotonin and Melatonin. This is why Cannabis is able to peel away layers upon layers of stress and is a known mood enhancer. It is fair to say that Cannabis makes everyone feel better and this is the reason why we are seeing so many reports of the benefits of Cannabis in the aging process. On the other hand many women cannot take oestrogen replacements because these drugs are associated with increased risk of heart attack, blood clots, gallstones, stroke, breast cancer and even Alzheimer’s so Cannabis is an excellent alternative to relieve most of the symptoms of menopause.”

Chapter 21 ~ Skulls, bones and joints

“Why do pharmaceutical drugs cause more fractures?

One of the strangest things about pharmaceutical drugs is that they tend to cause the very symptoms for which they are prescribed so with epilepsy drugs you have seizures listed among the side effects, cancer treatments cause more cancer, anti-depressants cause more depression and suicidal thoughts, anti-cholesterol drugs cause more cholesterol… and so we should not be surprised to see that many osteoporosis drugs actually contribute to fractures and loss of bone density and it even says so on the information insert of most products.  So it is fair to say that there seems to be a misunderstanding between big pharma and the average patient in the street and in fact the majority of their drugs including their synthetic Cannabis drugs simply do not work and inevitably cause other serious problems.

Research studies have proven that a lot of these drugs strangely enough ‘work’ by actually stopping bone remodeling, which is the body’s finely tuned process of bone renewal.  According to this research bone removing cells are called osteoclasts and bone building cells are called osteoblasts and these two then work together to both tear down and replenish the skeleton. So in reality you have to basically lose bone in order to build up new bone, and when bone cells wear out the osteoclasts remove them and then the osteoblasts will create new bone cells in their place.

So we already have this perfect system in place where bones are constantly being restored so they can stay flexible and strong.  Osteoporosis drugs do not allow old bone cells to be shed so bones end up becoming thick and brittle made up mostly of worn out cells and appearing to be more dense on x-rays but in fact are actually weaker and this is why a lot of patients on these medications tend to ironically be more prone to fractures. Unfortunately many of these drugs do have terrible side effects and it is also very true that a safe pharmaceutical drug without side effects simply doesn’t seem to exist and a lot of these side effects and the conditions that result are often irreversible and by the time we get to our golden years they tell us there is nothing we can do about this damage. Fortunately we can depend on Cannabis to not only heal but certainly lessen the side effects of pharmaceutical damage on our bodies.”

Chapter 22 ~ Summer time with Cannabis

"While researching Can Cannabis Cure Glaucoma ii found it fascinating that since the advent of sunglasses in 1929 cancer cases started increasing and the reason is that this fashion accessory actually blocks out the vital UV rays which the brain needs in order for cells to communicate with each other. We now know that it has been scientifically proven that cells communicate via light carried by neuro-transmitters.  Sunglasses effectively block the Pineal gland (Third Eye) which receives the white light of the sun from the lens of our eyes. The white light is then broken down into the full spectrum of the colours of light to be distributed by the Pineal gland around the body. So for example when the body needs to make blood the Pineal gland then sends out red light and say green light when the body needs to create bile for instance.  This is the importance of sunlight to our health and besides the skin our eyes are the only organ exposed to sunlight. It is crucial to realise that if you are deficient in Vitamin D that your Pineal gland will also not function properly.

So if you consider that the eyes are the only part of the brain that you can see from the outside then you can realise the importance of the eyes being exposed to sunlight for proper Pineal gland function and peak health at cellular level. You would be correct in stating that all three of our eyes are essential for optimum health.”

Chapter 23 ~ The consciousness of the Cannabis plant

“We have a much longer relationship with this plant than the period of time we have been legally separated from Cannabis. The consciousness carried for thousands of years of interacting with humans and animals has certainly not been blocked by this past 105 years of denying us this plant and the removal of Cannabinoids from our food chain and if anything the consciousness of our human companion plant has grown in the shadow of these unfair laws. Prohibition has only made this plant emerge stronger and stronger and no one can deny that its consciousness is getting bigger and bigger because Cannabis has always wanted to get closer to mankind to carefully and consciously heal the nations not only medicinally but spiritually, financially, socially and communally. This is the mystical consciousness of Cannabis.

Cannabis does not enjoy the fact that its users are still being threatened by man-made laws despite amendments to these laws in some of the highest courts of the land making a mockery of their own laws. According to South African Rastafari lawyer Ras Gareth Prince the Cannabis plant also has rights…it has a right to live in South Africa as it was here long before colonialism…Cannabis has been on the planet for millions of years and survived in the oceans long before becoming terrestrial…this plant in plain truth belongs to the Khoi San people. Cannabis now even has an international High court consciousness which has come about from over 100 years of being persecuted and demonized in court rooms everywhere in the world alongside its arrested humans.”

Chapter 24 ~ The Plant of Renown

“In the year of the birth of my grandson Ezra named after God’s lawyer ii had a biblical wake-up call when a close confidante who is Ezra’s other grandmother and from whom ii often seek guidance in interpreting the scriptures. Over a cup of tea she casually suggested that Cannabis might be the Tree of Knowledge and perhaps we are to consider that we are not actually supposed to partake of this plant. You can imagine how this blew my mind after all these years of believing that Cannabis is much more than just our human companion plant. This sent me into deep meditation. What if she was right? What if Cannabis was the doomed tree of knowledge of good and evil? No! Surely not…whenever ii need JAH inspired wisdom ii usually find it in the book of Ezekiel and so then it was with the utmost joy and real relief that this scripture was revealed to me. And ii knew instantly that the Plant of Renown is Cannabis.
Ezekiel 34 verse 29

“And I will raise up for them a plant of renown and they shall no longer be consumed with hunger in the land, nor bear the shame of the heathen anymore”.

The Last laugh ~ Conclusion

“We humans have certainly come a long way and no doubt we have achieved some pretty amazing things but believe it or not there are still a lot of things that we still don’t know. Some surprisingly simple things where we are sure the answer should be staring us square in the face but yet we seem to not have quite worked some things out yet. For example it is still a medical mystery as to why humans actually laugh.  If you look at animals most of them have a ‘tickle response” or some kind of pleasure response. Think of a cat purring when she is happy and relaxed for example. Unbelievably no one understands exactly why humans actually laugh or why we cannot tickle ourselves. For tickling to work the brain would need both pressure and the element of surprise but no one seems to know how the brain uses this information to produce laughter. But one thing is for sure laughter is much more than a simple side effect for amusement.”
