According to my research there are at least nineteen different possible causes of psychosis which, in no particular order, are each equally accountable in certain people, and you will see how so many people can become struck by psychosis. Let me just list them quickly, starting with alcohol and drug abuse which then leads to dehydration; the ageing process, pain and fever, insomnia, emotional trauma, depression, malnutrition and low blood sugar levels, food additives, stress, environmental pollution, poor sexual health, side effects of pharmaceutical drugs, brain tumours and certain cancers, malaria, syphilis, vaccinations as well as Cannabinoid and Vitamin D deficiency. All of these factors can contribute to the onset of psychosis. With all the environmental negativity, stress and increase in poisons everywhere today, symptoms like these will naturally manifest themselves in many different forms of behaviour and thought processes amongst our diverse human race.
People naturally have different moods and
personalities and different tolerance levels for other irritating
personalities. This is not psychosis or schizophrenia, because our personality
and the depression of our personalities, is all part of the human condition
just like mortality, conflict, selfishness, disrespect and even addiction; in
other words it is quite a normal part of life and not really a mental
condition. Is it possible that the true dilemma of the human condition lies in
our thinking? In order for us to become whole again we have to transform the
human race by finding the healing remedy to embrace the entire human condition.
Cannabis can offer us
the means to inspire and motivate ourselves, so we may properly re-build our
self-esteem and learn to love ourselves again, and in so doing, end this
ongoing depression and insecurity of the human condition. Schizophrenia
is not a clear-cut situation where a person either has psychosis or
not. It can develop over time, and it can happen to anyone. [150]
(Cannon PhD, 2015)
People need to know and believe that
psychosis is NOT a death sentence. It is perfectly treatable without
turning victims into zombies by administering harmful neuro-toxic chemical
substances. People suffering from these conditions, can, by just
making simple changes in their lives, based on personalised treatment programs
live perfectly normal fulfilling lives and achieve their full human potential.
There are even cases of psychosis disappearing with just a few simple changes
to the diet. In these cases patients would be able to get off their medicines,
and in some cases, symptoms only returned when the patient went back to their
old eating habits.
It is no secret
that good nutrition is required for optimum performance of the brain, and this
is why I believe that food psychiatry is the future of dealing with many mental
health disorders. In my opinion the secret to food psychiatry is to avoid any
processed foodstuffs and to ensure that more than half of what is on your plate
is raw. There
are healthy solutions to control mental illness, and we
give thanks because we now live in an era where there is hope where there was
no hope before. It is to Cannabis that we now look for this new hope. With
personal responsibility and a little bit of self-discipline, we can effectively
heal our bodies of any medical condition whether physical, mental or spiritual
within the body and beyond.
Scientists and
researchers all over the world are starting to understand the healing power of
Cannabis, and are now suggesting that Cannabis medicine could treat mental
disorders and psychosis. They further suggest that Cannabis medicine would be
much more effective than other drugs by having fewer side-effects. [151] (Deiana S, 2013) The first step to dealing with mental health, and
especially depression, is to first get a grip on stress- related issues. This
is exactly what Cannabis can do for us by controlling the release of our stress
hormones. In my opinion, people are not psychotic at the best of times or
schizophrenic; they are depressed, and there are studies involving ‘depressive realism’, which is a valid
theory, that people suffering from depression can grasp a better perception of
reality, than people with so-called healthy minds.
