CAN PHYTO CANNABINOIDS CURE MENOPAUSE?
Many of my female associates and friends will tell you
that ii am the luckiest lady alive. When
ii was 15 and a half ii had still not started my menstrual cycle or started to
develop breasts and was convinced that ii was possibly a boy! Once ii had a
scare but that was from beetroot and so ii realized that being a vegan
definitely was the reason for delayed arrival.
After battling it out with the cancer during my twenties ii lost my uterus
to a total hysterectomy.
So my entire menstrual cycle was a mere 6 years after
deducting 2 years for pregnancies and 2 years where there was no cycle before
the hysterectomy, so technically ii have been post- menopausal since the age of
29 and ii would just like to give thanks to The Most High for blessing me with
my two flesh children Dane and Ashleigh before ii lost my uterus.
The Risk of Premature Menopause
Premature menopause affects approximately 1% of women
before entering their 40’s as a result of genetics, illness or various medical
procedures like surgery.
Many people don’t know this but chemotherapy also brings
on premature menopause, so seriously Phyto Cannabinoids are a great option for
young women dealing with cancer who still wish to have children. Personally ii wish we knew about the oil back
then as ii really wanted to have more flesh children.
The medical truth is that unless a woman has had her
ovaries surgically removed before puberty, every woman will experience the
menopause, but it is also very true that not all women will experience
menopausal symptoms in the same way.
Fertility problems for example
women who have tried for over a year or two to become pregnant sometimes go
into premature menopause. Women who have never been pregnant often go into what
is called ‘Early menopause’ between 5 and 10 years before the expected time of
the 40’s.
Certain conditions like lupus,
hypothyroidism (inactive thyroid gland) or grave’s disease can also lead to
early menopause because the inflammation caused by these conditions can cause
damage to the ovaries.
Underweight women are also at risk…
Women with low body mass index
also often experience early menopause because these women with low amounts of
fat tissue also have less oestrogen in their bodies. For me this explains
exactly why women put on weight in menopause it’s the body natural reaction to
stay in the cycle to fight menopause and promote longevity. This is why it is important to change to
coconut oil because truly good health is all about good fats.
In Can Cannabis cure Epilepsy ? ii wrote about how many women
experience more seizures around their period, so women with epilepsy are more
likely to have premature ovarian failure which will then lead to premature
menopause. Scientific statistics reveal
that 14% of women with epilepsy will definitely have premature menopause. Personally it is my belief that this
percentage is much lower than reality and unless these women can rectify their
hormonal systems with the Cannabinoid treatment ii anticipate that this figure
will rise especially due to all the added hormones and toxins in our food
stuffs which is exactly why we are seeing young girls starting their menstrual
cycle as young 7 and 8 years old.
Certain pharmaceutical drugs
inhibit oestrogen production for example certain medications used for
endometriosis. These same certain drugs also inhibit our Endocannabinoid
Systems as well as depleting our Vitamin D levels.
And when speaking of
‘Men-O-Pause’ let us not forget about our men.
They too have hormones and certainly do seem to go through a change of
life of their own style which we as women will never ever understand in the
same way as men will struggle to understand the female menopause, the best we
can do is work together for the greater good.
How a female horse suffers for human
menopause…
In my life ii have heard many
shocking medical stories and seen many shocking practices but one of the
saddest stories ii have heard is about premarin. We now know that the
pharmaceutical drug of choice for menopause namely ‘premarin’ ii can’t even bear
to use a capital letter on this name. Quite literally the name means pre mare
urine and well there isn’t really space in this paper to repeat it so please do
go and read about how a mare is forced to urinate into a pouch for the sake of
this medication. This has been going on since 1942.
So the quest for natural
alternatives to treat the symptoms of menopause is more radical now than ever
before.
Menopause is a phase of life
so it is not even a medical condition seeking a cure. It is a perfectly natural transition with some
unpleasant symptoms not unlike the menstrual cycle and pregnancy and child
birth itself…and it only lasts for about 12 months then women are considered
post- menopausal and since ii have been there for a long time ii can tell you that
all is good depending on your attitude to life.
So to ask the question Can Cannabis cure Menopause? is pretty
ridiculous in itself but ii can guarantee you that it can ‘cure’ most of the
symptoms.
Menopause is not ‘something to be
cured’ it is something to be embraced as a natural part of the human body’s
life on this earth.
This is what ii know for sure Phyto
Cannabinoids can help women with infertility problems, menstrual problems and
uterine problems like endometriosis for example that’s a common one with young
girls and sadly is usually not a positive sign and so ii like to get young
women on the oil at the very first sign of hormonal problems just to rectify
these things as early as possible because these days with all the added
hormones in the foods dealing with puberty and hormonal issues has becoming
even more challenging.
We now know it is a scientific
fact that the Endocannabinoid System controls the Endocrine system which
controls the hormone system.
What is so special about Phyto Cannabinoids?
Cannabinoid deficiency is
responsible for some of the symptoms of menopause and this is because oestrogen
levels are linked to Endocannabinoid levels which both peak at ovulation.
Cannabinoid deficiency can lead to early menopause.
DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY
Through the Endocannabinoid
System oestrogen regulates emotional response and provides relief for anxiety
and depression through the way it acts on the brain. So lower levels of
oestrogen during and after menopause means less ability to respond to stress
and elevate the mood.
We have Cannabinoid receptors in the
ovaries.
Phyto Cannabinoids peel away
layers of stress and is a known mood enhancer.
Phyto Cannabinoids make everyone feel better.
Women are more responsive to
the relieving effects of Phyto Cannabinoids when the oestrogen levels are at
their highest so this means that women who are menopausal and post-menopausal
will require higher doses of Phyto Cannabinoids than pre-menopausal women.
Like fibromyalgia sufferers,
many menopausal women are prescribed certain SSRI drugs such as Prozac or
Effexor or even a drug called Gabapentin which is actually an anti-epileptic
drug. Some side effects include weight
gain, gastric stress and sexual dysfunction.
Phyto Cannabinoids are a
suitable alternative because they stimulate the Pineal Gland to absorb
Serotonin and Melatonin.
Many women cannot take oestrogen replacements because these drugs are
associated with increased risk of heart attack, blood clots, gallstones,
stroke, breast cancer and even Alzheimer’s so Phyto Cannabinoids are a good
alternative to relieve most of the symptoms of menopause.
BONE LOSS
The Endocannabinoid System also regulates bone loss
after menopause because we have CB2 Cannabinoid receptors on our bone cells.
Phyto Cannabinoids stimulate bone growth and development throughout
life. Specifically CBG (Cannabigerol),
CBD (Cannabidiol), CBC (Cannabichromenes) and THCV (Tetrahydrocannabivarin).
In
Can Cannabis cure Osteoporosis? ii
wrote about some Israeli studies at Tel Aviv University exploring the potent
benefits of CBD in the treatment of
bone loss and fractures. CBD
significantly helps to heal bone fractures and this is why we are having so
much success treating osteoporosis with CBD
high medications.
The
study was conducted on rats with mid-femoral fractures and found that CBD -- even when isolated from THC; visibly enhanced the healing
process of the femora after just eight weeks.
"We
found that CBD alone makes bones stronger during healing, enhancing the
maturation of the collagenous matrix, which provides the basis for new mineralization
of bone tissue," said Dr. Gabet. "After being treated with CBD, the
healed bone will be harder to break in the future."
The
researchers injected one group of rats with CBD alone and another with a combination of CBD and THC. After
evaluating the administration of THC and CBD together in the rats, they found
CBD alone provided the necessary therapeutic stimulus and that THC was not necessary to get this bone
boost.
According
to the researchers CBD enhances bone
healing by strengthening the cartilage ‘bridge’ that forms when a bone is
mending. This bridge is called the fracture
callus and it is made of collagen which then over time mineralizes and
hardens into new bone and their research has shown that CBD treated bones are between 35 and 50% stronger and this is why
their research is proving that CBD
contributes to preventing future fractures.
New
and upcoming studies are now also investigating CBC (Cannabichromenes) as a
powerful anti-inflammatory with very promising anti-biotic properties, and is
now also believed to stimulate bone growth which is another profound discovery
in bone research. THCV, another
psychoactive Cannabinoid, has also proven to promote the growth of new bone
cells.
So
in CBD, CBC and THCV we are looking
positively to the future of Cannabis medicine for the healing of osteoporosis
and other bone disorders associated with the menopause.
Ever
since ii was a very young girl ii have suffered with frequent ankle sprains on
both sides, and on my birthday 2015 ii fell down a mountain and broke my right
ankle.
Immediately
ii started treating my leg with Phyto Cannabinoids, Coconut and Comfrey
poultices almost hourly and ii was taking three drops of CBD high oil per day
at night…and ii did puff a lot especially in the first month.
There
was too much pain in the first month to think about taking pictures and so the
following photos were taken between 24 and 29 days later.
24 days after
fracture
29 days later
below
So
ii do walk a lot, around ten kilometers each day and ii can honestly say that
almost 2 years later my right ankle feels much stronger than the other after
the break so whilst ii certainly am not happy ii broke my ankle but ii am
pleased that ii was able to use my experience to personally prove that Phyto
Cannabinoids do make bones stronger after a fracture. And never ever
underestimate the power of Comfrey in knitting bones together.
HORMONE
REPLACEMENT
Phyto Cannabinoids are a viable natural alternative to hormone
replacement therapy. CBD at high doses interacts with oestrogen receptors and
can inhibit the growth of breast cancer cells. So although risky in my opinion,
if you do decide to take hormone replacement therapy, you should then use CBD oil
at the same time since the CBD will kill off any breast cancer cells which the
phyto oestrogens might bring without harming the healthy breast tissue
Phyto Cannabinoids stimulate hormone absorption…
The Endocannabinoid System is linked to the Endocrine
system as it has been proven to play an important role in the secretion of
hormones related to reproductive functions and response to stress, and
therefore controls the functions of the Endocrine system.
Positive research tests involving the production and
release of oxytocin have given scientists confidence to pursue studies of the
role of Phyto Cannabinoids in hormone release in the treatment of fertility
problems, mood and anxiety disorders, and metabolic processes such as thyroid
function and diabetes, as well as symptoms of autism.
One of the reasons why Phyto Cannabinoids works so well for
people suffering from fybromyalgia is that Phyto Cannabinoids regulate the
thyroid gland and hypothyroidism is one of the key symptoms which then
manifests as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Phyto Cannabinoids can rectify these
imbalances through the functions of our very own Endocannabinoid System.
As mentioned before Vitamin D is actually a hormone, a
very important hormone, and Phyto Cannabinoids naturally increases our uptake
of this vital vitamin.
Very few people who consume Phyto Cannabinoids have Vitamin D
deficiency.
A recent study looked at 2209 people who regularly
consumed Phyto Cannabinoids and only 4(0.18%) were deficient and these four
fell within the 50-59 age group.
THE RISK OF HEART DISEASE
Heart
palpitations and increased risk of heart disease is all part of the aging
process and is directly related to the type of life you have lived and how you
looked after your temple.
Phyto
Cannabinoids act as a vaso dilator in the body which aides heart disease, heart
palpitations, high blood pressure and circulation problems.
There is
a long list of pharmaceutical drugs which cause heart palpitations which you
look up online.
Bad fats
like bad cholesterol levels do increase during menopause and this increases the
risk of heart disease.
As we
have learnt from previous papers where ii have discussed the Cannabis Coconut
Connection at length good health and longevity is all about knowing your fats.
Phyto Cannabinoids are fat soluble components and the human brain is 60% fat.
Phyto Cannabinoids also lower insulin levels, which contributes to the
prevention of the development of type 2 diabetes.
FACIAL HAIR
Truly
this is one of my biggest problems which ii developed even before the first
menstrual cycle. Over the years ii have
been relentlessly ridiculed for my facial hair and this has only got worse over
the years and ii deeply regret using a razor especially as a Rastafari, this is
forbidden in my faith, indeed ii am plagued by nightmares of becoming a bearded
lady, but ii am working on a remedy. A lot of scientists say that there is
evidence to suggest that Phyto Cannabinoids can slow down hair growth but all
ii know in my case it definitely speeds up my hair growth on my head that is.
Using Phyto Cannabinoids has a lot to do with intention and my intention is to
find a natural remedy that really works because ii know ii am not suffering alone
with this unnatural and unfeminine symptom.
Phyto
Cannabinoid topical medications will also moisturize facial skin because they
promote oil production so if you have an oily T-panel go slow on the Phyto
Cannabinoids.
SEXUAL HEALTH
It was not so long ago, around
the 1940’s that the female orgasm was misunderstood as a mental condition and
women were actually locked away in sanitarians for this ‘condition’.
With menopause comes lower
libido and due to child birth many women in their forties experience pain
during intercourse. Unfortunately pharmaceutical solutions like oestrogen
replacement therapy and even oestrogen vaginal creams both carry the same risks
with regards to breast cancer and the added risk of uterine cancer and
dementia.
Phyto Cannabinoids again are a
suitable natural alternative as it definitely boosts the sex drive as well as
helping with the pain and certainly has been helping sisters achieve orgasm for
thousands of years.
HOT FLUSHES
Freaks like me in the 1%
premature menopause box often do not experience hot flushes and truly ii have
personally never had one but ii have witnessed many sisters suffering from this
condition where ii have seen women put their fans up their clothing to try cool
their bodies down.
Phyto Cannabinoids naturally cool
the body temperature down. Our own Endocannabinoids are basically part of the
body’s thermostat system and there is scientific proof that THC lowers body
temperature. So Phyto Cannabinoids will help with hot flushes and night sweats
and help you to sleep better.
Now here’s a thing…because ii
don’t have any personal experience with hot flushes ii had to do a lot of
research and ii came upon the expression “hot flashes” and the majority of
people ii asked and reports ii have read all basically agree that these two are
one and the same thing…which ii felt compelled to investigate a little further
and found an interesting paper by a Dr Farlow where he discussed
“The excitement,
the irritability, and pain in the neck of the bladder, flashes of heat, and
cold.” – Farlow
Now these feelings ii can
definitely relate to and often times ii believed that it might be like a
phantom pain like ii was pining for my uterus or something. So ‘flashes’ refer
to increased heat in the basic vaginal area and personally ii believe that many
people do not realise that a woman is not supposed to stop having sexual
relations just because the oestrogen is lower during menopause and indeed many
senior citizens speak frankly about the benefits of maintaining a healthy sex
life after menopause. Celibacy in old age is also an option and will require
deep meditation to maintain.
So the good news is that the
menopause only lasts for around 12 months after your last period and then you
are in the ‘post menopause phase’ and ladies from what ii hear from older
sisters it is bliss and ii have to agree because ii think ii have been there
for 20 years now.
In my research ii found some
very interesting statistics, as one does, but this ii found super interesting,
in 1998 there were 477 million post menopausal women on the planet (guaranteed
to be a gross underestimation) and according to these studies in 2025 this
figure will be 1.1 billion…wow that is something…1.1 billion blissfully happy
women…ii am pretty sure that this is part of the resurrection of the
consciousness of the Feminine Divine on our planet once again which can only
have positive spin offs and ii believe that most men will even agree with this.
MEMORY LOSS
Certain pharmaceutical drugs
are known to cause memory loss as well as other intellectual ad perception
problems.
In fact, most of the drugs
which start with ‘anti’ for example antihistamines, antidepressants,
antibiotics, antipsychotics, anti-hypertensives, anti-epileptics,
anti-cholesterol, anti-inflammatories, antispasmodics and so the list goes on
and on…
The problem is that these
drugs affect our Acetycholine levels and this is what leads to symptoms
resembling dementia like confusion, blurred vision, hallucinations, delirium
and indeed memory loss.
So Acetylcholine is the main
neurotransmitter concerned with memory and learning function. There is a
natural decline of Acetylcholine production which is normal with old age and
this is why seniors are more at risk of memory loss.
Pharmaceutical and even some natural sleeping pills
are infamous for causing memory loss.
Cholesterol drugs also negatively affect our brains, in fact cholesterol
is actually necessary for memory and learning and fast thinking.
Scopolamine is a terrible drug
also known as “Devils Breath” and is regarded as one of the most dangerous
drugs in the world. It inhibits free
will and blocks memory and can even lead to death. There is even a move about
this drug where crowds of people can literally be turned into zombies and succumb
to instructions to do things they would not normally do. It is also used as a
treatment for Parkinson’s disease.
Prescription drugs cause
hundreds of thousands of deaths every year around the world and it is very true
that there are more emergency room visits resulting from the side effects of
pharmaceutical medicines than even from illicit drugs, alcohol or recreational
drugs all put together.
One of the most common side effects of pharmaceutical
drugs is memory loss.
And it is
not only prescription drugs which cause memory loss a lot of over the counter
medicines will do the same because they block this important neurotransmitter. Some
names you can relate to are Advil (pain and insomnia), Benadryl –
Diphenhydramine generic (for allergies), Nytol (insomnia), Sominex (insomnia),
Tylenol (pain and insomnia) and even good old Zantac which we use for acid
reflux.
There are
many reports of fairly large research studies proving that seniors who use certain
over the counter medicines like Benadryl are at a far greater risk of
developing dementia and Alzheimer’s with memory loss being noticeable within 60
days.
You can
find a complete list of these medicines on Drugs.com.
Phyto Cannabinoids and Longevity
Dr. Robert Melamede, a professor
at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and former head of the UCCS
biology department states that:
“You can look at the harm caused by
free radicals as biological friction or biological rust and the
endocannabinoid system minimizes the impact of that and directly acts as
an antioxidant as well as modifying the biochemistry in a way that minimizes
the impacts,” said Melamede outside court Thursday, likening endocannabinoids
to humans like oil is to cars. He said if you don’t have lubrication in your
car, your car breaks. In the human body, the damage comes in the form of
age-related diseases.
“I’m saying what science has now shown is that marijuana and
cannabinoids are effective anti-aging agents which means that they are
effective in minimizing the onset and the severity of age-related illnesses
which include cognitive dysfunction things like Alzheimers, cardiovascular
disease, be it heart attacks, strokes, or clogged arteries,” he said. (Newham,
2008)
Longevity
or prolonged existence or permanence of life is something desired by most
people, men and women alike but only once they get to a certain age. Mostly today people simply wish to stay young
in terms of their looks and physical appearances. These days 30 is considered old by teenagers
and 50 is now considered the new 40 by 60 years olds.
It is
however possible to preserve our bodies and minds to live to ripe old ages
without health problems in other words to pass on naturally of old age.
With age
comes deterioration of cells, tissues organs, memory and brain function. One
has to be conscious of what supplements are required to reverse age related
deterioration in the body and brain.
We now
know that Phyto Cannabinoids increase the body’s uptake of Vitamin D and are
crucial to preventing Alzheimer’s and we are also now starting to realise the
truth about sunshine and dementia. Both Vitamin D and Cannabis have neuro
protective properties and other healing similarities so these two work
alongside each other to promote longevity.
We are all aware of the role of ‘free radicals’ in the
aging process, they quickly multiply and become uncontrollable in the absence
of antioxidants to flush them out of the body.
Free radicals also cause inflammation throughout the body thus
intensifying other conditions commonly connected with the aging process such as
arthritis.
The Endocannabinoid System controls the process of
autophagy which is a process involving cellular destruction of unnecessary or
dysfunctional cellular components.
The process of autophagy breaks down damaged organelles,
cell membranes and proteins, but does not
damage or alter healthy cells at all, unlike the majority of so called
cancer fighting drugs which kill off healthy cells as well as damaged cells.
The failure of the process of autophagy is the main
reason for on-going cell damage and therefore the aging process.
It seems obvious therefore that we need to boost our
Endocannabinoid Systems in order to maintain our good health and indeed our
longevity and failure to do so will result in a number of medical disorders.
The Cannabinoids CBD
(Cannabidiol) and CBC
(Cannabichromene) are known to relieve inflammation and THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) and
CBN (Cannbinol) are known to act as antioxidants. These are two very important factors in
maintaining homeostasis and overall health. The death of cancer cells, in turn,
promotes homeostasis and survival at the level of the entire entity in both
humans and animals alike.
The eyes are the first to go…
There are studies underway
where researchers are revealing the role of Phyto Cannabinoids in the aging
process particularly eye aging. Some results reveal that after just 6 weeks of
receiving the supplement improvements that were noticed included improved
vision, reduction of retinal inflammation and levels of amyloid beta
accumulation and reduction in retinal macrophage population (macrophages are
immune cells that cause inflammation).
These are very interesting studies because these findings
suggest that Phyto Cannabinoids may very well help prevent age-related macular
degeneration (AMD), which is the most common cause of blindness in the elderly.
AMD is associated with both amyloid beta accumulation and inflammation, and Phyto
Cannabinoid supplementation certainly seems to benefit both of these
conditions.
Looking to the future…
When it comes to the menopause perhaps it is best for us
to simply laugh at our feminine fiddly of the female condition. In seeking
natural remedies we are looking to replace our confusion, our embarrassment and
all of our collective symptoms which women have to endure with a more light
hearted approach to the most natural part of being alive where a woman can
still retain her dignity, pride and clarity of mind and soul.
