What does the Bible say about Kings and Oaths?

It is easy for me to bend the knee because ii have been praying to His Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I since ii was 9 years old so it comes easy to me to be able serve a King and Queen. This is why ii wanted to become the first white person to bow down to King Cornelius III as my modest attempt to humble the fearful souls of my people and to prove that JAH would not strike me down dead for doing so. 

Since the 16 July 2018 ii have been inundated with negative comments from people about the idea of bowing down to a King. At the end of the day it was my own decision to do so and people should respect this as ii respect their decision not to do so no one is being forced to do anything against their will.

King Cornelius III emphatically declared publically that He does not expect anyone to bow down to Him and this is exactly what encouraged me even more. In fact ii was prepared with my feet washing bowl and begged the Princesses to please arrange this as part of my humbling process and His Majesty did speak to me and say that at another appropriate time ii could definitely wash His royal feet and ii really can’t wait for this to happen. Emperor Selassie I also stated that no one should bow down to Him yet the whole world bowed down to H.I.M. in 1930 including the Queen of England.

King Cornelius III was quick to grab my hand and lift me out of my bow almost as though ii had embarrassed Him. When you get as close to the King as ii did you immediately sense how humble and powerful our King is at the exact same time. The first thing He said to me was “Please ask YOUR GOD to bless my works” and ii was captivated because ii realised immediately that His Majesty realised that if JAH was not involved in this process then it would surely not work. This is exactly what continues to inspire me to continue my servitude to King Cornelius and Queen Jenny and the Sovereign State of Good Hope. It is my belief that this is God’s Will on Earth and He is using the First Nation as a world- wide example of how consciousness can be changed to achieve freedom and harmony. It is my honour to be involved in this highly spiritual transition.

So in my opinion even though the struggle is real right now and we are up against serious stubbornness from the SA government who obviously do not want to concede to the eviction notice which has a solid foundation in international law arenas. Even though right now people do not want to believe in what our King is doing for our futures and for our children and grandchildren’s futures…as surely as Queen Elizabeth had to bow down to His Imperial Majesty (H.I.M.) in 1930 which fulfilled the prophecy of Psalms 72 verse 11 so too shall present day leaders bow down to King Calvin Cornelius III. Why? It is because of their blood lines. The reason why the queen of England had to bow to Emperor Haile Selassie I is because He is a direct descendant to King David and therefore Jesus Christ and therefore of higher authority than the queen. This was the first and last time the head of England has bowed down to anyone.

King Cornelius has the internationally recognised blood line to prove his position as King of the Sovereign State of Good Hope. Since 2001 He has been recognised as the Khoi san King and custodian of the land by the United Nations. Since then no one has ever contested His credibility and the fact that it is now happening is blatant instigation of division and financial corruption. King Cornelius Himself was offered money by the South Africa government to disappear and He refused.

The South African Constitution claims to be based on God’s Law but if you study the document you will realise the difference between man-made laws and Gods true laws. First of all there is no mention of the true Sabbath the Fourth Commandment. And so there are many laws which people are forced to obey which are not God’s law by any measure. There is a lot of truth in the scripture found in 1 Corinthians 15 verse 56 “Sin gets its power from the law.”

The Sovereign State of Good Hope will be run on God’s true law and straight away in Article 10 of the Constitution you will see confirmation of the true Sabbath even though the Constitution acknowledges and respects all religions. One of the fundamental lessons of Rastafari is that His Majesty taught us that the only way the world will solve its problems is when all the churches of the world come together and He told us Rastafari followers that it is up to us to ensure that this happens. This is why His Majesty teaches us to blend with all religions. The first step to achieving this is for everyone to observe the Fourth Commandment. Emperor Selassie also stated that we must accept the Bible with clear conscience.

Throughout the Bible we are taught that God appoints Kings and therefore it is God who establishes the rulers of nations. They are put into this power by God and can be removed just as easily by God. Here are three of my favourite passages on this matter.

Romans 13 verse 1

“Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. ² Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. ³ For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. ⁴ For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. ⁵ Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.

⁶ This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. ⁷ Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honour, then honour.”

Daniel 2 verse 21

"It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men and knowledge to men of understanding.

God is in control of all of human history…He appoints and dismisses people in power so it is God’s sovereignty which controls human events. God has a plan for His creation and God’s wisdom is not our wisdom. Here we can see two evidences of God’s wisdom where He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those with understanding.

Psalm 75 verse 7

“But God is the judge: He putteth down one and setteth up another”.

What does the Bible say about taking oaths?

Matthew 5 verse 33

“Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform to the Lord what you have sworn”

But I say to you, Do not take an oath at all, either by heaven for it is the throne of God or by the earth for it is His footstool or by Jerusalem for it is the city of the great King. And do not take an oath by your head, for you cannot make one hair white or black Let what you say be simply Yes or No anything more than this comes from evil.”

I always believed that this scripture refers to inside a court where they want you to swear on the bible to tell the truth ii have always refused to do this simply because their laws are not Gods laws.

My understanding is that it is a sin to take voluntary oaths which is what people do to try and convince others that they are telling the truth. For example “I swear to God I did not do this or that…” or “I will lay my hand on a stack of bibles…” personally ii see this an attempt to compensate for our lack of trustworthiness. Jesus Christ Himself condemned hypocrisy and therefore making of false oaths and vows and stated clearly that a righteous man should not have to swear by any oath so in other words trustworthy people don’t need to resort to taking oaths in court assuming that all Christians are to be trusted where our integrity and honesty are of paramount importance.

For me personally the signing of the Oath of Allegiance is the same as my going to parliament every day for the 7 day Jericho walk. It is not to form a massive crowd outside parliament or to impress any up and coming activists…it is to bear witness to God and this is why ii wore my sack dress on day 1 to show God that ii am present as a witness and ii need His help with this situation. This is how we demonstrate our faith through our works and living up to our word is very much a work of our faith.

So when a Christian takes an oath as required by law he or she is actually showing respect for this authority. By signing the SSGH Oath of Allegiance we are showing God that we support His appointment of King Calvin Cornelius III and this in itself is consistent with trustworthiness.
