Snippets Chapter 12 the only cure for glaucoma

Why does Cannabis make our eyes red?
“Interestingly enough the main reason our eyes become red after smoking Cannabis is also the main reason why Cannabis is becoming renowned for its treatment of glaucoma. Basically Cannabis reduces blood pressure, which in turn causes blood vessels and capillaries to dilate. The ocular capillaries dilate which increases the flow of blood to the eyes and this is what naturally reduces intra-ocular pressure. A lot of people will argue that this is not a good idea and red eyes surely must be a sign of a problem.

Some people will tell you that Cannabis sets your brain on fire and this is why your eyes go red.  Just so you know…alcohol does the exact same thing because alcohol is also a vaso dilator. What ii can tell you is that the red eyes effect of Cannabis is short lived just like the psychedelic effects, the laughing and the increased appetite, ii honestly cannot remember when last someone commented on me having red eyes, except maybe when ii was testing BHO products but that is another story.  The reality is that the stronger the THC strain the redder your eyes will be but as said before this is also short lived. Some people will even say that actually the weaker the THC strain the more red the eyes…so yes everyone is different, every eye is different and indeed every Cannabis plant is different. So for example a person can smoke a low THC strain one day and have little to no eye redness, while the very next day their eyes may be blood shot after eating a high THC strain edible product.
This also explains why red eyes can still occur even in the absence of smoke proving that it is not the smoke which makes our eyes red but the actual Cannabinoids. Personally ii would take red eyes over blindness any day. So increased blood flow creates the redness, while the decrease in ocular pressure is the same effect which benefits glaucoma patients.”

Chapter 10 CBD the King of Cannabinoids

“In Cannabis we can find so much magic and ii have always believed that THC is the secret ingredient responsible for all of this magic.  Lots of people still believe that Cannabis is NOT a cure for any disease and that we are all just too stoned or too high to admit this and that actually we are lying to the public. In their eyes we are ‘drug addicts’ masquerading as terminally ill patients. People like this will never see magic or miracles because they refuse to believe in the concept of magic first and you cannot see something you do not believe in. Millions of people in the world will tell you that Cannabis cured their cancer but fortunately Cannabis cares not whether the naysayers believe or not Cannabis just continues to cure regardless. People often comment on how healthy ii appear and when ii tell them that ii am now 21 years cancer free they naturally want to know my secret.

Nature and creation is pure magic and nothing in nature lives for itself. Take a look around the oceans don’t drink their own water…trees don’t eat their own fruit…the sun doesn’t even shine for itself and as for a flowers fragrance it is for everyone except themselves.  So you can see that in nature living for one another is a fundamental rule. In this same way the healing abilities of Cannabis is not for itself and this is why we always say “It is for the healing of the nations” which comes straight out of the Bible in the book of the Revelation and is repeated almost word for word in Ezekiel 47 verse 12 and it is our belief that these trees are Cannabis plants.”

Snippets Chapter 7 Cannabis literally gives us life

Chapter 7 Cannabis literally gives us life

"One of the most important medical mysteries of our time is the question as to why a woman’s body does not actually release the foetus and terminate pregnancy.
Scientists in the fields of transplantation immunology and reproductive biology have been baffled for decades as to why a mother’s immune system does not reject the developing foetus and placenta as alien tissue? The foetus and the placenta both express antigens which are different to the mother and in terms of what we know about medicine the maternal immune system should by rights reject this foreign tissue.

The scientists at New York University School of Medicine made a completely unexpected discovery as scientists do. So the human body is by creation designed to reject alien matter when invaded and this usually manifests as fever, diarrhoea and vomiting which is sign that the body is trying to find ways to get rid of the bacteria or virus and so on. In my opinion this is exactly why women and some men even suffer from ‘morning sickness’ the woman’s body is trying to reject the foetus in this first trimester. Now remember that half of the genes of the foetus is from the father and technically could carry genetic code which could actually be a threat to the mother or the child or both. So the foetus is a foreign invader to the mother’s own immune system. But for some miraculous reason the mother’s body does not reject the foetus instead her system changes direction from attacker to protector thus ensuring continuation of life. How does this happen? How is this possible? How does this work? And what has this got to do with Cannabis?

It seems odd to me that it took scientists all this time to figure this mystery out and they only managed to explain it through the discovery of the THC receptors and Cannabinoid science. Exactly six days after conception…one day before implantation in the uterine wall the womb…something very mysterious happens in the woman’s body which highlights something very important about our relationship with the Cannabis plant.

A blastocyst is the cellular tissue arrangement a cluster of cells is you like which is what develops to become the human embryo around six days after fertilization takes place. So we all start off as blastocysts and on the day before implantation the 6th day this blastocyst starts to produce an enzyme which actually suppresses the mother’s killer T cells from her immune system and this is how nature prevents an immune reaction against the soon to be embryo. This is the story of how Cannabis can halt the imminent and naturally expected death of the future baby’s cells. Through this miracle the T cells are never actually summoned to the site of fertilisation and this is what saves the foetus and the placenta which forms immediately after implantation.

It turns out that the genes which are responsible for responding by sending the T cells to any site of injury are automatically turned off at the beginning of pregnancy inside the uterine lining which is the cellular barrier which protects the developing baby and the placenta. Scientists call this lining the ‘decidua’ ii think this is such a beautiful word originating from the Latin word ‘deciduus’ meaning falling down or off or ‘decido’ meaning to fall down which is exactly what the lining of the uterus does after pregnancy to deliver the baby.
There are already a few published scientific papers on animal and human studies to confirm these findings so this is happening with all mammals and ii suspect all of life even insects and jelly fish since they also have the THC receptors. Some people will argue about whether conception or fertilisation is the onset of pregnancy and it is my understanding and personal belief that it is at the point of conception that all the magical mysteries of life begins and this is the point of creation. If these T cells were not turned off and they were actually sent to the tissue in the uterine wall well then serious complications would occur like premature labour because the body would be trying to abort the foetus the foreign object and this can continue till well after the 20th week of pregnancy as the mother’s blood pressure continues to rise and she develops blood clotting and kidney problems.
So yes pregnancy has always been risky but this foetal rejection does not often happen. Why is this? What stops these killer T cells from naturally trying to attack human and animal life potential? It has always been a challenge to try and take something we have been proving for hundreds if not thousands of years and now match it up to the scientific evidence that scientists have now realised and which people need and expect in terms of medicine in order to accept this as evidence of what we have been saying all along.
In the old days ii could never have explained to you “scientifically” how ii knew that if ii gave an infertile couple some Cannabis that they would be able to conceive a baby successfully within one moon cycle where they had been trying for so long ii simply knew that this is what Cannabis can do. This is how it came to be that ii am god mother to so many children because ii have been using Cannabis to help couples fall pregnant for almost 2 decades now. In plain English it all has to do with the fact that our Endocannabinoids and our receptor system which are made naturally inside of our bodies play a crucial role in the activities of the Endocrine system by actually controlling hormone absorption and release. Hormones are really very important little chemicals.
So it’s interesting how natural medicine must wait upon science before people will accept that they can actually heal themselves. But ii also love science and ii find it incredible what they can do and ii just wish that they would do more good than bad with their wisdom and their skills and their funding. It’s also very interesting that a lot of this research emerged from the American Cancer Society which proves that they have always known about the role of the Cannabis in fighting tumour formation. So it’s very important to also do your own research of these scientifically proven facts which are accepted in the medical world as valid studies. Things must make sense to me and logic must always prevail so that ii can explain it to a person who doesn’t have a medical degree. Bob Marley always used to say “Explain it to me like I’m a baby so I know that you understand what you are talking about!”
The hormones which control these genes and prevent the T cells from doing their job to eradicate foreign tissue are controlled by our own Endocannabinoids Anandamide and 2-AG and this is what takes us straight to the THC receptors and the system which we have come to know as The EC System and this takes us to the Cannabis plant. The most distinguishing characteristic of the immune system and how it defends itself against the implantation of foreign tissues and toxins is the way in which it produces chemokine’s. Chemokine’s are a small branch of the cytokines family and cytokines control the release and absorption of our hormones. They are cellular post men if you like or signalling proteins secreted by cells.
It is these chemokine’s which the genes use to send the T cells to the site of injury and this is the most important part of our immune response system. So it’s the genes which produce these chemokine’s which are turned off during pregnancy and which protect the unborn baby. The moment an embryo is implanted something intricate and mysterious takes places to stop the immune system from attacking the future unborn child.
Progesterone prepares the uterus for pregnancy every 28 days and like clockwork after each ovulation the woman’s body starts to produce progesterone which also naturally stimulates the activity of the Endocannabinoids Anandamide and 2-AG because these two are required to make sure that the foetus survives and the sudden increase in Anandamide levels in the uterine region is biological evidence of this. This means that there is a high Endocannabinoid activity in the reproductive region.
There are many studies you can look at where fairly large groups of healthy women one group worked with 100 women and all these studies have proven that a low Endocannabinoid activity was relative to spontaneous abortion in women with low expressions of Anandamide and 2-AG. So our own two Endocannabinoids are involved in controlling the genes which would usually send out killer T cells to kill an embryo or expel a foetus and continues to block this process throughout pregnancy so you could very well say that pregnancy is an immune-suppressed period in order to ensure the survival of the foetus which would otherwise be rejected.
Endocannabinoids then proceed to attach themselves to the CB1 receptors in the uterine wall and completely terminate the action of the T cells in the uterus during pregnancy. Not only does our EC System control the protection of the unborn human child after fertilisation but Cannabinoid signalling is also scientifically proven to be involved in the muscle contraction and relaxation of the fallopian tubes which is responsible for moving the fertilized egg through the fallopian tube into the uterus.
THC from Cannabis has a much higher binding affinity to the receptors than our own Endocannabinoids and this is why Cannabis is so helpful in achieving conception and the creation of life by ensuring the continuation of life inside the uterus until birth so yes absolutely in many respects Cannabis by influencing the finely balanced relationship between the Endocannabinoids and the THC receptors in the fallopian tubes and the uterine wall it literally gives us life and it does this through its activity in the Endocrine system by controlling our hormones and genes.
Can you see why ii refer to Cannabis as the Human Companion Plant?"

Snippets Chapter 1 Sin gets its power from the law

Chapter 1 Sin gets its power from the law by Sister Vee Nohombile

“Most governments want people to think that they are acting in the best interests of the people in their law making decisions. For example the new anti-cigarette smoking laws in my country which could see people being arrested and imprisoned for up to 3 months in South Africa. Public spaces and restaurants will now be taboo for puffing.

Look ii have never been a fan of any poisonous tobacco products which do kill people but ii can guarantee you that this new law will masquerade as a public health concern for one wicked habit in order to suppress the most effective delivery method of the most powerful healing plant. In my opinion this has absolutely nothing to do with protecting people from cigarette smoking but has everything to do with giving doctors the power to avoid prescribing Cannabis as an inhalant….thus forcing synthetic cannabinoid products on the people. This is another medical cover up waiting to control the emerging African Cannabis medicine industry by its hungry profit driven captors.

A lot of people feel that this is so ludicrous that it’s possibly fake news however as funny as it might sound that our government plans to imprison cigarette smokers this law has been in the pipe line since 2002 and ii really believe that the reason we are waiting so long for the High Court ruling on personal adult Cannabis consumption here in South Africa is because they are waiting to push this new cigarette law through first. This will take the burden off giving the people recreational Cannabis smoking freedom in public spaces. It is completely ludicrous because smoking Cannabis is still healthier than not smoking at all. People have been arrested for a harmless plant for almost 100 years now so personally ii do believe that this new law will be strictly enforced simply because it is so easy to enforce and get convictions. In the future ordinary people can also now look forward to the possibility to experience what it feels like to be locked in jail for smoking a banned substance and not only so called ‘pot heads’.

When it comes to laws we have to realise that all of these laws for example laws pertaining to alcohol and tobacco were never inspired in the interest of public health but rather in commercial concern. It also would not surprise me in the least if our government also changes the legal alcohol age limit to 21 instead of 18 years old before they consider amending Cannabis laws. They would do this with the intention of actually controlling Cannabis since we are requesting that new Cannabis laws should reflect the laws which govern alcohol. And definitely the Cannabis laws cannot be harsher or stricter than the booze laws because we have now proven in the courts through the Trial of the Plant that alcohol and tobacco are more harmful than Cannabis.

So looking to the future patients who are used to smoking for medicinal purposes will most likely find very little benefit in some synthetic cannabis products. You can see how this uncovers a potential turning point for the way in which the world thinks about Cannabis medicine. Patients who prefer to puff also mostly report that it is easier to control the individual dosage through smoking because the effects are instant, whereas with ingestion the effects can take hours to ‘kick in’ where for most common ailments like insomnia, nausea, pain, menstrual problems, blood pressure, stress, anxiety and so on just a few puffs is usually enough to solve most problems.

You don’t need a high IQ to realise that if Cannabis was freely available to the ordinary person in the street that in fact the pharmaceutical industry would stand a very good chance of shrinking.”

Cannabis Book Review

Recently ii was delighted to find not one but three Cannabis medicine related books which ii had not yet read at my local library in Fish Hoek.  As a matter of interest all three books were found in different sections being social issues, self-help and obviously alternative healing. So while Cannabis is still a long way off from being legalised ii find it incredibly progressive of a small conservative sea side village to realise the value of making this type of information available to the greater community.

Cannabis Pharmacy by Michael Backes

Cannabis Pharmacy presented by Michael Backes which was self-published in 2014 in association with Black Dog & Leventhal Publishers in New York and the Elephant Book Company Limited in Britain. This is certainly the most recently printed hard copy book I have held in my hands regarding the emerging science of Cannabis medicine.

A very powerful opening by medical doctor Andrew Weil M.D. is the perfect way to soften the blow on the reader when they hear from a qualified doctor that Cannabis is not the big monster we have been brainwashed to believe over the past 100 years.

Cannabis Pharmacy is a brilliantly constructed and user friendly introduction to Cannabis and the Endocannabinoid System. This work leaves the duty on the reader to decide whether they believe that we have always had this system or that humans are simply evolving and we only developed this system since the advent of the internet.

As a person who is moving towards self- publishing a Cannabis related book in the future I can really relate to the challenge of arranging technical medical information into a fun and entertaining version which might not leave the reader falling asleep from boredom or overuse of technical jargon. Before on line search engines back in the 80’s and 90’s a researcher could not simply walk into a library and obtain trustworthy information about an illegal but life-saving medicinal plant. The encyclopaedia section might have rendered half a page of usable information but for the most part it was almost impossible to get this information.

This book is one of the most comprehensive works I have personally seen. It feels so incredibly good to hold a Cannabis medicine textbook in my hand after all these years of having to hide away in the mountains consulting with my Rastafari Elders about the healing abilities of the holy herb. I highly recommend this book for both beginners and medical doctors seeking out the knowledge of how to be more helpful to their patients and developing new ways of looking at how the body actually works now that we know the importance of THC and that it is only found in the Cannabis plant to human life.

This book is written from the spirit and not once did I have to wonder what the author was trying to say. Part of being a writer is to harness the ability to explain complicated subject matter in such a way that a child would understand what you are saying. Adults require this just as much in order to accept that the author actually understands what they are writing about.  Michael Backes in my opinion has achieved this and I am a huge fan of achievement.

The author has spent a lot of time to produce a really remarkable collection of available plant strains which is vital information for the patient and the doctor. I would go so far as to say it could be the modern MIMS medical database update of our time. The last section of the book discusses how Cannabis can be effective in healing different types of medical conditions. Again a very comprehensive study which is so required by the community so that people may become familiar with what healing this extraordinary plant has to offer.

The only section which I found to be lacking in research which in the authors defence is not readily available is where the author discusses Cannabis with children and pregnancy on pages 239 and 240. It is a misconception that Cannabis contributes to male or female infertility and one only needs to observe families in the Rastafari community where most families have on average six children. At the risk of taking anything away from my own research the truth is that Cannabis is actually intricately involved in the conception and pregnancy process of human and animal life.

The first step to the community accepting Cannabis as a legitimate healing medicine instead of a party drug is education which is sorely lacking. Many people do not have access to internet so to be able to hold such a valuable visual recording of some of the most important medical history concerned with humankind is indeed a privilege and definitely a book for any Cannabis medicine student to keep close by.

Marijuana Medicine – A world Tour of the Healing and Visionary powers of Cannabis by Christian Ratsch

My second find was Marijuana Medicine – A world Tour of the Healing and Visionary powers of Cannabis by Christian Ratsch and translated by John Baker.

One of the known secrets to a successful publication is a powerful introduction so ii was delighted to see Dr Lester Grinspoon offering the opening pearls of wisdom because I have studied his works in my own research so ii know that he is a legitimate resource of valuable medical information. In fact ii am the proud owner of Dr Grinspoon’s 1994 Marihuana Reconsidered which at the time and indeed to this day remains one of the most authorative evaluations of the benefits and dangers of Cannabis. It is a fact that even to this day there really are very few experts in the field of Cannabis medicine.

The reader is literally taken on a world tour and treated to valuable information about Hemp and Cannabis throughout the history of mankind up until Cannabis became illegal about 100 years ago. Cannabis has literally followed us humans all over the world from the Himalayas in Asia to the Rockies in America not to mention Africa. So Cannabis and humans and definitely animals have been developing an intimate relationship for thousands of years and it is true that the Chinese having been using Cannabis for over 12 000 years.

I love in the introduction how the author goes straight to the topic of consciousness because Cannabis definitely has a consciousness of its own which has led to it becoming the entity it is today where it even has a court presence in many countries especially South Africa.

Throughout this book the author embraces metaphysical ideas like alchemy, spirit healing, the elixir of life and the key to immortality. He successfully does this in a spiritual and mysteriously physical sense at the exact same time and I see this as part of an awakening message the author is offering to the reader. Shamanism has always been the starting point of most ancient cultures and their medical histories and the author takes us throughout Asia where we learn how the science of healing with plants and especially the Cannabis plant was forever originally envisioned by the people blessed with spiritual knowledge.

South Africa is featured from page 126 to 132 where after the author takes us through upper Africa. His explanation of the origin of the word ‘dagga’ was of personal interest to me as I absolutely abhor this name largely because of the negative connotation this word has given to the Cannabis plant by equating it to a dirty and dangerous street drug. Personally I have consulted with a number of Khoi san chiefs and Elders over the years who have confirmed that the word ‘dagga’ does not refer to Cannabis but to another plant called ‘wild dagga’.
Christian Ratsch’s statement that the Khoi san and bushman people were smoking Leonotis leonurus long before the arrival of hemp on our shores is proof that this offensive word has nothing to do with Cannabis.

This book is a brilliant compilation of world Cannabis history and a very useful resource for information about the interaction of Cannabis and human life over the ages including well researched tales of folk lore from the Celtics to the Brazilians. The author displays the presence of a strong and original vision in which he successfully employs the art of writing as a medium of exploration and incredibly interesting world travel without leaving your seat. Truly this book was such a joy for my soul to sip on and ii will surely have to renew it if there is not already a waiting list.

This is Cannabis by Nick Brownlee

Finally which interestingly was the first book I found on my jackpot library day and was also the smallest book. This is Cannabis by Nick Brownlee was categorised in the social issues department. The authors name is familiar to me so I was overjoyed to find something in hard copy. This paperback was published by Sanctuary Publishing Limited in the UK in 2002.

Nick Brownlee is a man who gets straight to the point and you can get a sense of this in his short and sweet introduction which packs three powerful paragraphs which would entice any reader to continue even if this was an unfamiliar topic. I like the fact that he acknowledges the most important chemical component of the Cannabis plant being THC or Delta -9-tetrahydrocannabinol.

The opening chapter embraces the rich Cannabis culture which has emerged over the past few generations since prohibition. This author also embraces the consciousness aspect of the plant. He also highlights the ridiculousness of prohibition and the fact that while a lot of cops will turn a blind eye to Cannabis possession there are still a lot who are happy to enforce these laws at every level even throwing people into cages with murderers and rapists.

From page 29 you can read about celebrities who have been caught with Cannabis and even Prince Harry had to endure a rehab centre for experimenting with Cannabis as a teenager. He gives a good recollection of the true history of illegal Cannabis and quite correctly states that the effect of Anslinger’s radical and racially motivated propaganda was truly electrifying. Today more than ever the ordinary person in the street cannot quite comprehend exactly why this plant is illegal and Nick Brownlee shows a deep appreciation for the reality that if a story does not make sense one must simply follow the money.

Not many authors are prepared to delve into religion and especially Rastafari so it was with great delight that I read what Nick had to say about the movement and he paid a beautiful photo tribute to His Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia who is the deity and living God of people who follow Rastafari and use Cannabis as a sacrament.

Personally I feel that it is through authors like these that the world is finally awakening to the truth about Cannabis and on 18  March 2018 Prime Minister Gaston Browne of the Caribbean issued the world’s first official apology to Rastafari for being brutally persecuted by these unfair and unconstitutional laws. Honestly with books like these being published we really ought to demand a world-wide moratorium on Cannabis laws.

The controversy of Cannabis versus alcohol will always remain a demanding debate in society and the author highlights this topic clearly and how world leaders consistently fight the fact that alcohol is more dangerous than Cannabis. This is not a war on drugs this a war on consciousness and the author brings this forward with enlightening information about the deep set corruption to be found within the pharmaceutical industry which we all look up to for good health and peace of mind.

Nick Brownlee does not hesitate to endorse that Cannabis is helpful for all terminal illnesses, AIDS, arthritis, cancer, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, degenerative muscle and bone diseases as well as an array of other conditions he discusses throughout the book. He suggests that people should grow it, smoke it, eat it even pack it into pies and he is correct because this is the future of Cannabis medicine where anyone can grow and produce their own medicine in the privacy of their homes which is what we are fighting for in the highest courts of our land here in South Africa.

All three of these authors will no doubt convince even the reader who is new to Cannabis medicine that in this plant we have a truly remarkable healing plant. After reading these books there is no doubt in my mind that Cannabis is the extremely vital element of preventative healthcare and should be included in all healthcare programs as individual treatment plans. Cannabis is also the natural supply of a perfectly adaptive support and defence system in our ever increasing toxic environment. Every day we are learning more and more about this amazing plant and it seems certain that it will continue to surprise and amaze humanity with the different types of healing it can offer mentally, physically, spiritually, economically and communally.

Beat the Winter blues with Wilde als

Wilde als (Artemisia affra)/Umhlonyane (isi-Xhosa)

It’s winter time and while we give thanks for the precious rains we are receiving even the healthiest of us can’t seem to avoid catching a cold or the dreaded flu especially in such freezing cold temperatures. But did you know that there is a garden herb called “Wilde als” which is indigenous to South Africa and which if taken correctly can catch the common cold in its tracks within 2 hours?

Wilde als is one of the most widely used plants in South Africa by both black and white people. So for generations both Sangomas and the Afrikaner have been using Wilde als as a traditional medicine making it a truly South African herb. Whether your ancestors are Boer, Xhosa or Zulu if you had to sit your grandmother down to tea she would tell you that the ancient remedy for coughs, colds, chills, bronchitis, stomach-aches, menstrual problems, headaches, toothache, throat infections, whooping cough, croup, colic, intestinal worms, psoriasis, measles, high blood pressure and even mumps is still as effective today.

There’s only one problem with this medicine it is one of the harshest and bitterest taste in the world and even in the Bible in the book of Revelation you will read about “the bitter star of wormwood”. So it’s no joke that this is the reason why most people cannot tolerate this medicine. But in order to heal yourself from an incoming cold front in the shortest space of time you simply need to block your nose and swallow after following these easy steps.
Take some dried herb about a heaped table spoon worth and put it into a 1 litre container. Add some chopped ginger, a clove of garlic, a slice of lemon and a dash of turmeric and cayenne pepper if you please.  If you have mint I would advise you to add some which will help to calm the bitterness. Once the water has boiled let it stand for about 5 minutes. Never pour just-boiled water on your herbs as they literally scorch the terpenes and other healing compounds found in most medicinal herbs. Let the brew stand for a few minutes strain and sip away.

Add honey to sweeten your brew and this will also add to the healing you will receive.  In terms of side effects the answer is simple there are none! Some people will try to convince you that taking this herb too often will result in liver damage or other tissue damage but this is not true and in fact the complete opposite is true. If you look at Traditional Chinese Medicine they align this herb with conditions of the liver and gall bladder.

For every illness there is a plant in creation to heal and all herbs by their holistic nature can offer upliftment to the spirit and this is why a lot of people use this herb for stress because it is also a natural anti-depressant and half the victory of beating the common cold is managing stress better which prevents your immune system from weakening and becoming susceptible to winter bugs.

Introduction to The Human Companion Plant

Introducing The Human Companion Plant ©

It has been just over 6 months since my last post. Now ii feel like a writing addict at a meeting!

Towards the end of last year ii started developing carpal tunnel in both hands so ii was under immense pressure to finish my papers by year end knowing full well that Can CBD make you high? would be my last post for some time.  Since then ii have been working non-stop on my first book for publication The Human Companion Plant and ii am happy to share my book cover with you and full credit and gratitude is given to my friend Anthony Colley who kindly designed my cover for free making me one of the few authors who will not be dictated to by publishers on my cover or title. Some of you may notice that the acronym of the title is THC Plant and herein lies the written medical plot of the story which largely is my life story of working and healing with Cannabis. It is more than an autobiography because a lot of it is actually based in the future…the future of my healing and teaching and the future of my medicine.

It is my personal story embracing the past present and future of my own works in the field of Cannabis Medicine…the untold story of a mysterious present, an unexplainable past and a future filled with infinity. Because my entire life has been an illegal activity since the age of 12 ii do have secrets which ii will always have to keep so ii may continue protecting the people who took great risks to ensure my safety in times of need so sadly there will always be stories ii will not be able to tell.

But even though this is a story penned in pain my story is affectionately narrated in love. This is the story of how a plant earns the right to be loved; respected and indeed praised. The Human Companion Plant is a collection of my life experiences in working and healing with the Cannabis plant as well as some of the sacred knowledge surrounding this medicine.

As ii write the words which will eventually fill the pages of my book ii am trying to portray Cannabis as the literal bridge between mind and body healing because Cannabis unmistakably controls certain elements of consciousness thus bringing healing physically, mentally, spiritually, economically, communally and most certainly beyond….so consciousness is a very big part of the healing experiences ii have been blessed to witness in my life working with Cannabis.

It is this consciousness of the Cannabis plant which has evolved this plant from living in the depths of the oceans to become the entity to which ii respectfully refer to as “The Human Companion Plant.”

In general the majority of feedback ii received for the cover design was extremely positive and many people even said that they would buy this book just to have this art work which is a huge compliment to Anthony.  The past 25 years ii have been thinking about the cover design of my first publication so to be honest ii already had a perfect visual of what ii wanted and you are looking at it right now. When ii first started viewing Anthony’s art work ii realized immediately that he is the artist ii am going to approach to help me.  Well ii gave him a 2 page creative brief and within 24 hours he delivered what ii had spent two and half decades dreaming about. Thank you Brother Anthony so very much.

One of the comments was a question really…How can you use two white doves? What my sister meant to remind me of was that by using one dove symbolised peace and using two symbolised the Word of God. In all honesty ii can only confess to my intention to portray my knowledge as the literal word of God. Most of the material ii have accumulated over the years ii have been holding close to my heart despite immense temptation to splash it out over the many blank pages ii have stared into over the years. And a lot of this information ii have received through visions and divine inspiration. Long after ii had my cover design ii found this beautiful picture of His Majesty and immediately ii knew that my cover design was given.

In this book and in my life ii speak about the future as though ii have already travelled there and well yes in plain truth you could say just that because ii have visualised a beautiful future where Cannabis will again be the most popular medicine of choice amongst conscious people. This is usually where people start to comment that Sister Vee smokes way too much herb and while this may be very true the other reason why ii have always been obsessed with my focus on the future is because if ii can maintain a positive attitude about the future ii will be able to avoid depression.  The minute something happens to cause me to no longer feel positive about the future ii become immediately depressed. So focusing on the future is a very big part of who ii am because isn’t the future really just a nanosecond away?
